I just got released from SARS because I own gadgets and drive a car (this is the fifth time I’m being embarrassed), I think this is the worst experience I’ve had with them, I hope no PTSD on the way�, however, I’m about to be a japa advocate at the moment ✈️

Quite an experience tho; I was just driving out of my street and they drove abruptly to my front like they’ve been waiting for me and shouted “come down”, I quickly ended the call I was on and deleted my binance and checked slack.

Then I came down, they asked for my papers, I gave then they said “what do you do to buy such a car”, I said I work in the church and assist my father in business (of course, I won’t tell them I’m an engineer) then they doubted cos they felt such won’t raise me such a case.

I then tried to tell them I’m a member of the Nigerian army officers mess and they still said I am potential suspect and they are taking me to CID, they talked and talked that I have to put statement down and I’d be in the cell for the night, then we entered car and they loaded their vehicle and told me to start going, then I knew omo, it has be so, I called my dad and tried to talk to him, he now spoke to them and they asked for 200k and said they can’t do less, we kept going and stuff, they now said young boy like this with such car and omo they all gathered around me, entered my car and I was so scared cos they were rolling the guns too much around me� (hard guy in the potor potor) - my dad struck a compromise with them, they took me to POS, withdrew my money and left.

They now said, I’m a good boy and that I won’t sleep in station then cracked their dumb jokes and left. The experience is unmatched - ngl, but sha, I’m good, I just need to sleep or something cos I’ve not been this scared in years

If you were clean your father won't negotiate with them rather he will come to the station with a lawyer.

It very easy to know fraudulent people they are always scared to there balls when they see policemen.

Am very sure this a young boy who is into crypto investment promising people ROI....fraud

A pastor giving bribe to policemen......the boy is so foolish and ridiculing his father by posting this.

5. No allowances of any kind
6. No maintenances of any kind.
7. No personal assistants paid by the state.
8. No domestic staffs paid by the state.
9. No aids sponsored by the state.
10. Not even pure water.
11. No shishi from the State.

Now the two men want to be president.

So choose you today who means well for Nigeria and who will serve the people selflessly.

It's crazy and insane that the government are the ones empowering the police to do all these despite the ENDSARS protests. Instead of checkmating the police they encouraged them the more.

Whenever l heard a news about how police use to harass people for owning a gadget in the south the thing baffles me until it happens to me yesterday in Warri. I was coming from Udu there is one bridge they used to mount road block and extort innocent people. In my bag, is my laptop. When they sight my bag they ask me to open the bag, which l did without saying a word. They see my laptop and said where is the receipt l shown them. May be they want to term me yahoo, they said we shall go station l Said lets go. They ask for bribe l said for what? Let them take me to the station . They ask me to go immediately.

If his father has a lawyer in his contact nko? They would have taken him to the station and force him to write an incriminating statement before the lawyer arrives. They might even plant drugs in his car and charge him for drug possession. Worse still, they could shoot him, plant a gun in his car and label him armed robber.

Something similar happened to me last week. My driver brushed an uber car and the car lost control to hit a traffic light close to Ajah. They took both cars to the police station and forced my driver to write a statement and then locked him up. Before my lawyer got there the following morning, there was nothing he could do as my driver had already written a statement incriminating himself and absolving the other driver. Obviously the uber company and the police in charge of the case are working together. The responsibility of fixing the traffic light which was damaged by the other car and the repairs of the other car is now my responsibility. If we go to court my drivers written and signed statement would be used against him.

The guys father did the wise thing. Even if he decides to call a lawyer, would the lawyer not collect money? Then he would pay for both police and then court bail apart form other inconveniences, which might be more than the 200k the police (criminals or kidnappers) are asking for.

The Nigerian state is completely broken and we are living in an Hobbesian society, where life is poor, nasty, brutish, and short.

You lied to the police that you are an army officer. That means you impersonated and army officer

Lying to the police is misdemeanor which is punishable with jail time
