once again u just showed that ur comment is based on perception not facts. Some of u will just stay in Lagos and think that the rest of Nigerian states are crap. That's how someone was arguing with me that the el-rufai's teachers recruipment was not bses on merit and I asked him if he has ever been to kd? I talk based on what have seen, I don't assume based on someone's perception.

You mention El-Rufai teachers recruitment. His effort came to my mind when some people comments are justifying the cutting of Anambra education budget by more than 50% on the ground of inflated budget. Anyone who want to fix education genuinely will not start with budget cutting. El-Rufai effort may not be perfect but it is a step in the right direction. I use to like Soludo more than El-Rufai. If this news is accurate, I am bound reconsider. Given that Soludo may be running for president in the future and contesting against Rufai. Soludo need to wake up from his Slumber

Is Soludo not young? Is Soludo not educated? Is Soludo not vibrant?
Politics is more than all these aforementioned, people that are supporting Obi should think it well, what if he happened not to be the Messiah they all hope for? But anyway, as for Soludo, he might definitely have a good reason for doing that. I pray such a reason to yield positively and be a welcome development.

Dijita:

You are telling us that the way to fix education and everything that is inflated is to cut education budget by more than 50%? There are about 5.5million people in Anambra. I don't know the student population but if we divide the population by 5 assuming 5 people in a family that is about 1.1 million family. if you have 2 school age per family you will have about 550K school age population. The 1.1billion is an average of #2000 per student per year. Given that my math is not scientific but rudimentary hence may not be 100% accurate, allocating #20,000 per child education is still far cry for what is needed for an average education.
We should stop defending politicians fallacious excuses when they make policy mistakes especially those that we support. It is through education that we can help our people.
If he wanted to fight fraud in the system, let him fight fraud to the benefit of the people. This is not the way to do it.

I am an academics and I know how the ogas at the top make a fat and exaggerated budget after adding their own.

Now, you too do the calculation again.

If you add just #500 per head on the #550k students population, how much is that?

That's 275million.

If you add #2000 per head, how much is that.

And a lot of lists has its outrageous exaggerations that these ogas put because a lot of people will share in it.

If you add them all together, it will amaze you what's going into private pockets.

Let's talk like Nigerians who know what's going on naw!

It's very easy to steal from Government because everyone representing Government speak and understand the same language of corruption.

Nevertheless, I'm an objective person my friend.

I wonder what those who liked your comment were thinking about. You remember when Yaradua slashed politicians salary to 50% ? That's the same thing Soludo is trying to do. Why waste public funds? When will corruption stop? Imagine someone earing millions and still collecting allowance all in the name of being a politician? Civil servants will earn far less and still no extra allowance and about P.O Nigerians are tired of APC and PDP, see the truth is whoever is supporting those ancestors are either been tribalistic or they are definitely receiving funds from thier party. I'm a yoruba man and I'm supporting P.O with my full chest and this is the first time I'm actively involved in politics

This is unnecessary waste of state house of assembly time of reviewing annual appropriation bill twice in a year.

Former gov Obiano had signed 2022 Appropriation bill into law. However when Soludo in March, he revised the budget and represented to state house of assembly for re-passing.

Nawaoo, govt is no longer continuity. Know-it-all syndrome is bad for Soludo govt
