Wow....maybe it's because I haven't used it in a very long while. Those slow moving traffic were terrible for me. You stop for 30 secs, it moves for 15, you stop for another 15 sec ....

With time you'll get use to it and you gonna enjoy it believe me because the both legs will be active unlike auto that only one leg is and the other is idle not good at all.
This is the reason manual cars are prefer for transport business because it keeps the driver awake all through but the auto can make one sleep off while driving but manual both your two hands and both legs are active doing one thing or the other.

The only issue is selling it off when you're tired if the vehicle if not manual would have been my No.1 choice

Lols...What if ur r going uphill, how will u move forward with ur car in neutral.

U just like suffer...kukuma be pounding tomatoes and pepper instead of using blender so ur whole body will be active. grin

Lol... If you're going up hill leave the gear in 1 and turn off engine simple but if you must leave it on because of the AC running then make use of your hand break while car is on neutral. Your legs would be free by so doing.

If you want to move up hill/mouth, start the car while it's on gear 1 or neutral with your handbreak engaged then move the car by slowly releasing the hand break so car won't roll back.

Take it or leave it, manual cars are the only car that can go up to a mountain top automatic cars can't the gear will develop a serious fault even it's a brand new car. These are some of the reason we have some 2020, 2021 tokunbo cars in Nigeria even when were in 2022... Some of them develop some fault while they were test driving it after manufacturing... They aution them and people like dru23 buys and ship to naijagrin

Inbetween drivers should be mindful of
the cut to service lane descending the bridge at Fadeyi facing Maryland to enter Yaba. Did normal thing on Wednesday. That's was how two old men stopped me, with why did I cross over the pavement to the service lane. Probably total I will be scared and didn't even notice the car door was unlocked. He brought out MOT ID and jumped into the back sit, ask me to driver into the Oando. That action got both me and my Oga mad. Like are you silly? What's the meaning of jumping into the car? Oya! Get down from the car first before you receive any attention. He was caught unaware and stutter... next we replied him, Oga! Don't say anything, just get out of this car, if I drive you away it won't be funny. Then he didn't know where to place things. Got down and voice changed to its we we, just do something. Las Las 500 was let go and I zoom off.

Drivers don't be too official is this hustle, knowing you are Uber driver is like a default setting for them to take advantage.

And 2 understand the scene you've found yourself before taking action. 2 men stand on the route I usually take. No enforcement, no car at standby, no weapon, no proper means of identification outside their dirty laminated ID grin there's nothing in the world I won't use to fight them, even if it means beating them. That is how far I dislike when people try to take advantage of people. On the flip side, if it happens to be a Lastma or Traffic Police and I truly understand my offence, they are other ways to solve issues amicably. We moove

Since he is motivated you guys to jappa by learning IT like he did.. You need to ask questions so that you can better prepare yourself.

He talks about how you can make 4x than driving etc. But does he talk about how much u can earn a year doing IT etc..

What areas of IT does he specialize in how the job market in that particular field etc .. Does he do trouble shooting over the phone etc..... ..

On his earlier post he stated that his friends advice him to work from home doing 2 jobs at the same time.. Why do you need to do 2 job IT job working from home. If the pay is that good why do 2 jobs......

He is painting a pretty picture here, but we don't have the facts and figures that allows us to make better inform decision ......

And me myself might be interested doing IT .. The more am well informed the better I can mentally prepare myself ..

I know some IT guys that work from home and trouble shoot . These guys basically are IT for the health care field.. They make about $17hrs per hour... But me I no fit do work for $17 per hour .

I may not know it all, but I definitely know this isn't how to drive a manual car.
U shouldn't start a manual car on gear,
if u must, u must first press down d clutch so car doesn't jerk forwards.
Remember u r on a slope so as u press down clutch d car is on free fall, so u have to hold break or handbreak.
Or u start the car on neutral, then engage d gear by clutching down. U can't release the clutch again if not engine jerks and goes off.
As soon as u r ready to move then u disengage the break while still pressing down clutch and accelerate in adequate measure while simultaneously releasing the clutch in the proportion u want the car to move. Going uphill u must not completely leave d clutch cos u still need power from d gear and if in traffic at the same time, d moment u break u have to clutch down again.
Now do u see how cumbersome, stressful and difficult this is if u r doing ehailing from morning till night, day in day out in a city like Lagos?

So really except u don't have a choice, I don't understand why u will prefer manual to automatic for ehailing in Lagos.
That reason of so u don't sleep and ur whole body will be active get as e be.

This country is f*cked, Lagos especially. angry
Government is just making life difficult for people to live.
Roads - you spoil roads in the name of infrastructure and you just abandon it halfway and jump to another road, causing traffic up and down. angry
Fuel - what is going on with fuel now? Fuel scarcity today, tomorrow, further more. angry
This period wey person suppose dey cash out inside surge, person no fit. angry
Traffic come full everywhere.
Yesterday, my balls were ringing onto traffic level, managed to gross 29k yesterday when my target was 35k or above. angry
Nothing go make me fail grossing 40k today if to say fuel dey, but see what we're experiencing. angry
I just dropped a rider at Abisogun Leigh (aguda side) from Alapere Housing Estate @3.3k surge. Now, I can't continue work before the traffic become worse, make I dey go house. The fuel wey remain inside the car go reach me cruise around tomorrow as per Ileya stuff. Need to use tomorrow and Sunday to flex small - then resume on Monday.
What a nonsense state and government. angry
Please anyone with where dem dey sell fuel, abeg share ASAP.
Missing today's hustle go pain me, but if I no see fuel, I no get choice than to go and park for house.
Make I set destination to my area, Alapere.

Pearl1910 you too like argument.

Remember that he never said manual is better than automatic for Ehailing. So I don't really know the base of your argument.

Manual is not difficult to drive bro.
When driving an Auto car, your right leg is always busy going from throttle to brake.
It's almost same with a manual car. Your right leg is still more busy than the left leg which controls only the clutch. No big deal.
It takes time to master a manual car. And if you haven't managed one for at least 1yr, you may never get comfortable having one.

On the issue of Uphill/traffic:
Back then in owerri, I was driving a manual car one day and my car went off in a pool of water that was even coming into my car through the doors; car couldn't start and there's no way to come down and call people to help me push it.
Car was in gear1 and I tried starting it, forgetting to clutch and it moved forward a bit but didn't start. That's how I pressed the ignition and held on it, car kept rolling and moving forward till it got out of water but didn't start. I waited for about 15mins, tried the ignition again and it started.

The reason for this example is to prove to you that you can start a manual car while the gear is engaged, cos I tried it a lot subsequent times.

So If you're in an uphill traffic, there are many ways to move your car without rolling back. You just need to be good with manual cars.
You can half your clutch before releasing the break, which is no big deal for a manual professional driver.
You can start the car and release the clutch respectively in milliseconds, car will start and jack forward a little bit.
You can equally use the hand brake/clutch and foot brake. It works fine for a rookie.

These will sound complex, but believe me if you can, it's quite easy and fun to a professional manual driver.

So anyone that can't afford an automatic, but have money for a manual car should please go ahead. It may not go easy with you at first, but you will testify with time.
Most interstate commercial cars are manual and there's no big deal in it.

Almost all Fuel stations along Oshodi-apapa express way, from Ilasa to mile2 are selling and decongested, With less than 5cars in each. Especially the right lane from mile2 towards Oshodi. But how to access that lane is the problem. Cos mile2 is a no go area.

I dislike early morning work with passion, the danger it entails is even more than late night driving.

As for me, late night driving is less dangerous than early morning work. These are my reasons

The first time lastma arrested me on this job I started early and my 2nd trip was from illupeju to lekki... I paid 12k and my rider left me at Sura booking another ride.

2nd time, taskforce arrested me around 7/8am for one way- I paid over 170k plus 3days no work

3rd time, task force again, it was in the morning too at airport road 7&8 bus stop that sloppy path.

4th, in the morning again CBD taskforce along agidingbi road... I escaped paying 10k by miracle

5th, the list goes on and on...

What does this experience teaches me? Taskforce agencies mainly do their work in the morning and once sun comes out they're already thinking of going into their hiding. In the evening is making to control traffic and once it's 6/7pm they close.

On the other hands,

No police, lasma, local govmnt boys
Roads are free, though with no surge.
You state your rules not riders, you can choose to ride without ac claiming no filling station to buy fuel... But you have to know your onion very well, be rugged, be mad, have good tyers and spare, fill up tank, and make sure your car is sound because if he breakdown for road na you Sabi oohgrin
From number 1 to 5 only you? cheesy
My brother, you see that early momo hustle, the thing no dey with my spirit at all, and when my spirit no align with something, it's better I back off mehn.
I tried it 2 days ago, it still didn't work with me jare.
Make I dey follow my set time jare, but I'm adjusting on the empty driving sha.
Night driving - na hoodlum like you fit do that one, not for a coward like me. grin grin

Elaborate on what ?
Kukuma kee me... I should state how much I earn on public forum ?
Ordinary I’m in US, You don’t believe I, but you want to believe how much I earn.
I stay in village according to my guys here that I should come to city, but don’t worry leave me in the village, I enjoy my white community village, drive 5mins to work , no heavy taxes, have everything I need , same malls in big cities, parks and beach.
But no crime , no gun shots , if you call 911 3 police cars will come, with ambulance and fire truck , cos they are bored and low crime rate.

I should leave Lagos and come to be living in big cities with heavy taxes, or wearing bullet proof vest to go out cos one crazy guy can decide to shoot people.

I carry Lagos street sense come here...
One thing I will tell you for free is that all the people that have been jappaing in the past 5years are doing way better than people that jappa 10/15yrs ago.
