From personal experience, using a third-party's profile on the CBN tradeprtal with your bank account may cause the bank to reject your payment. Access bank for instance usually support using your profile and your bank details.

Again that was my experience. Had to ask for the funds to be transferred to my account, i updated my email on my BVN and applied

Pls which documents did you attach to the application

Information I got from my bank might help someone.

Personal Travel Allowance (PTA) and Business Travel Allowance (BTA) will now be disbursed into your FirstBank Travel Card ($3,500) and via cash ($500). All applications will still be in line with Regulatory Requirements.

Kindly ensure that all PTA/BTA applications are submitted 14 days (minimum) before your proposed travel date, while a minimum of 30 days is required for school fees, upkeep and others.

Please be reminded that application for Form A for (School fees, Student Upkeep, PTA/BTA) must be processed on the Trade Monitoring System (TRMS) platform of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Requirements for processing school fees for the first degree and post-graduate programmes:
Admission letter in the school letter head
Invoice for the current semester on the school letter head.
The beneficiary bank/account details in the name of the school/university
Duly completed Form A
Authority to debit customer/applicant account for Naira equivalent and charges
Biodata page of International passport of the student
Additionally, first degree certificate is required for post graduate programs.
Notification of result is acceptable only if it is duly endorsed as 'certified true copy' by the institution that awarded it
The applicant should be a recognized parent or guardian of the student.
School fees and student upkeep is strictly for degree and post graduate programs.
The school fees amount should be equal to or less than the amount on the invoice and not more than the amount on the invoice.
The maximum limit of USD15,000 (or its equivalent in other currencies) per semester is no longer applicable. The amount on the invoice is the limit in line with recent CBN/ Bankers committee decisions.
The student upkeep/maintenance fee is a maximum of USD3,000 (or its equivalent in other currencies) and can be paid directly to the account in the name of the student abroad per semester if the school does not make provision for collection of student upkeep on behalf of the student. This is in line with the recent CBN/ Bankers committee decision.

Requirements for processing PTA/BTA:
Biodata page of International Passport
Valid Visa Page
Duly confirmed return ticket with e-ticket number
Authority to debit account for naira equivalent and charges
Account must have been opened and run for at least 6 months
Complete a prepaid card request form where customer does not have one

Pls can you help a sample of what the letter of authority should look like

For those who don't have land or has but looking for more home ties apart from family.

An event that occurs in your place of residence is a home tie, you just have to explain in details of what this event entails, the date it happens (make the date align with your study session) take a lot of pics of this event with friends and family.

Secondly, pets like dogs and cats e.t.c can be a source of valuable home tie. Canada is the home of pet lovers, some of these Canadians can kill for pets. Take pics of events you both went, be specific about the thing you enjoy about your pet. Talk about what you plan doing with your pet when you come back.

Finally, traveling as a hobby can act as a reasonable home tie. Now, you have to tell the VO that coming back will give you the required leverage when applying to other countries as tourist. Try to be convincing you can list these countries and the particular place you will like to visit.

Good luck.

The tradeportal site will advice you the right documents. I used my letter of acceptance, deg. cert and flywire invoice for the payment.

Some will also ask you to attach a signed letter of authorization to debit your account.

Are you going to Centennial?
Egypt air is fully booked for August.

You can get Airfrance this August

Airfrance and Lufthansa, which would you recommend?

I have experience flying with the latter but I’m not sure about Airfrance. Any words about them?

I'll suggest you stick to Lufthansa all day...
My Uncle's experience with Airfrance were terrible... Some times it was extremely loud engine, another day was losing radar signal for more than 3 times, rescheduling flights when they were already seated preparing to board because of technical issues.

My husband has dom account he’s supporting me with. The money from his business goes into the account. Though the bank name is his own personal name. Does he need this sole signatory letter

A bank reference letter serves to support the account statement. It is always better to include it.

Hello Guru's please I still need help.

I visited Canada in February 2022 (so already have visitor visa)
I applied for Study Permit and I got approved, My passport request was June 16.
I received my Passport back on June 23.

In my envelope received I just have my study visa. I don't have a study permit. I understand this is supposed to be a physical paper authorizing me to study and work.
On my CIC account, I just have original passport request and correspondence letter.
The correspondence letter is just on Biometrics.

So now I don't know what to do. I tried calling the IRCC line but its not going through, I have submitted a webform and emailed the Ircc QUESTION@cic.gc.ca and Nairobi email. No response yet.

My course is Bus Admin and its a 2year diploma.

Please has anyone had such an experience, or any information on how to move forward. Thanks in advance

Thanks for the feedback.

The VV application I did was from my own account. Are you saying she should send a reminder using her own Email?

I guess the message can be sent via both emails. I am no expert here though
