Boss on the flip side 150k dolls is 91 million in naira. Put subsequently into consideration or should we just focus of the last figure 60k dolls? Or the before tax. At the same time that 10 out of that 25 Okadas may have been sized by Lagos state government by now. Unless you intend running it from a remote place. But know you live in a country where political instability is a major issue.

I only used the Okada as an example. People buy things from China and sell for twice or thrice the amount. It can be anything.

If you look at the earlier post by Dru23, you'll pay at least 40% in taxes. That leaves you with 36,000 dollars with high cost of living.

That is not outside of what I can make here in Nigeria.

You're believing someone that's hoping Trump will come back so the borders can be locked again?

If Japa is not worth it, he should come back home first.

Japa wey my 2 of my friends leave Access Bank for. Note they were not marketers. 1 of those guys dey always dodge church bills for here back then.

Now ehn if you tell am say we need money for "end of year program". Before you say Jack, baba don send 100k. This is someone that's currently doing masters and driving delivery bus. He's intending to switch to IT after his masters.

Believe what you like bro.

I am talking about myself. Anyone who wants to japa should japa. The money you're making there I can also make here. The goal is to make money.

If 60-150k dollars per annum before taxes is what people earn then this japa thing is seriously overrated.

Bros it's not only about the pay, what of your sanity?
Does it not matter to you?
Is it not better I live in sane environment where things are working than this shambles?
Do you know some people's annual rent in lekki can set up a small apartment for them in outskirts of Lagos?
But they choose to be tenants rather after counting the costs.
And that's what most people do, go to the embassies, visa offices and passport offices you'll be marveld at the croud there killing themselves to jaa.
Even the government understand what's going on and they have come up with excuses like no paper to print passports and giving people long appointments, even people will prefer to live to countries like Ghana I mean that's how bad it has gotten.

I don't understand all this argument about traveling out or staying in 9ja and hustling. My brother people have been hustling in 9ja doing the real hard work, shebi dem talk say hard work pays but no be for 9ja own. The Economy is zero, SME's are suffering, People are even afraid to invest their money in anything ,nothing works here, our politicians keep putting their fingers in our eye and nothing dey happen. If you have the opportunity to Japa don't think twice o. People that were struggling to
Keep up with family duties don enter Yankee in less than 3 yrs are building their houses and buying cars. Something they could not do with all their hardwork in naija. It might not be IT or what ever but the whole idea is to make money. Nothing sweet like when you are seeing the fruit of your Labour and you don't even have to work yourself to insanity unlike the case of naija
Una talk say you can make money here driving odd hrs and with discipline,no doubt but I'd rather work 2 shifts for Yankee even if na Uber sef and still be disciplined at least i no go line up for Osapa London dey sleep for car

Well...I wouldn't say u r right or wrong but I respect your choice. I don't have a grouse with whatever choice anyone has. I have never said ehailing is better than travelling out. I think the argument has evolved beyond how it started. So people should get back to d issue so we don't derail d point.

When you talk of sanity, you have also forgotten that, here you can bypass meter and use free electricity, pump price of 1 nut here is 2k. Ask dru23 how much he pays over there? cheesy

Even pope191 sometimes lights the oven for free.

As I have said, anyone that wants to japa can japa but for me, I'm not seeing the point. If the 150k dollars dru mentioned was monthly salary, I will not be replying you here, I'll be in the travel section already

Good morning my boss and Eid El Kabir to all my Muslim brothers in the house.

Hope hustle has been great. Please o, I need your help on my car before I spend to buy battery.

Please what could make a battery run down when the positive terminal is removed and car is parked for long.

Is it a case of parasitic drain or bad battery…

But boss talk true, if chance dey to Japa you no go Japa? To make money in dollars and to make money in Naira no be mate o. And you can still keep your sanity 100%. The way Naija be especially Lagos by brother e get as e be. For me i had clear opportunity to Japa far back as 05 but things were going well for me, things were not this crazy so no need ,I could only think of visiting. But see as things be now. Inflation is crazy. Things i used to manage to import early 2020 the rates have tripled in less than 2yrs.But still on the real, if the opportunity comes for me to Japa now now i go move. But I'm not going out of my way to make plans for that. I'm still thanking God I've been able to level up and bigger plans are in motion to make money for this naija without going half insane

You just said it yourself with a clear example. You can earn more in Nigeria than you will in Canada with cheaper cost of living.

True that ...but there is security and stability in those countries.....

For the right amount of money , I will stay in Nigeria and work... The money has to be right and my accommodation ........ If a job offers me $ 200k per year with driver, cook and a choice location . I will be ready to come back......

So money is a motivating factor .....

Get a battery charger to check ur battery, he should come along with another battery. If urs is still good but just run down ur alternator will recharge it if u are driving far at first start. but if it's completely dead they need to fix it to a power source for some hours.

A jobless grad here. It's been some years now since I drove last. Now, I'm considering enrolling in a driving school for 2 weeks and obtain driver's licence before I can get a car for Uber job. The main issue here is that I don't know the terrain of Lagos very well. The route that leads to another is what I mean.

What do you think of my situation?

If surge wasn’t capped at 1.9, it might be getting to 9.9x surge

Thanks for this boss.

Whenever I jumpstart the battery and I let the car run for 3 minutes or so. Then turn off the car. The battery will start the car at once.

But when I park overnight, and I still remove the positive terminal, the battery would run down again.

The last battery charger said it is my battery that is bad. Although I have not done long driving for a while

Maybe I will remove the battery and give battery chargers to help me charge for hours before buying a new battery.

But I want to be sure if there can still be parasitic drain when the positive terminal is removed?

When people talk about money, I just laugh, one may have all the money, yet basic things of life will elude them. Passing eko bridge at night self constantly can help one with young HBP. I understand the gun shooting and madness in the other side of the world too.
