2023: Why We Will Work For Peter Obi Not Atiku – Plateau Ex-reps Member, Kaze by Anambra1stSon(m): 12:53pm On Jul 10, 2022
Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, a former member of the House of Representatives from Plateau State, and a chieftain of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Bitrus Kaze has declared that he will not work for the party’s candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He said he would instead work towards the emergence Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi.
He also said working for Atiku would be a betrayal of trust, because his emergence as a candidate was against the party’s zoning formula.
He equally said working for Labour Party’s Obi is being faithful to PDP’s zoning formula which is enshrined in its constitution.
Kaze made his declaration in an interview with journalists in Jos, the Plateau State capital, saying if the PDP did not respect its zoning formula, his support for Obi does not amount to anti-party.
He said, “Let me be honest with you, I won’t work for Atiku, because doing so offends our social, religious, and even our economic responsibilities.
“That somebody from the North-West would be President for eight years, you expect somebody from the North-East, same religion like the outgoing to be there for another eight years; it will be betrayal of trust for me to commit myself for such a project on the Plateau, I will not.”
“As a person, I’m at home with Peter Obi, and I will suggest to our people to vote for him, because his candidature pronounces justice, he carries every section of this country.
“I’m not afraid to say it, I’m prepared to say it anywhere”, he maintained.
Kaze, who represented Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency between 2007 to 2015, however, said, “If the PDP is able to take the ticket from the North and give anybody from the South, I will support that person.”
“But to the extent that the PDP has infringed upon its own constitution, I will remain faithful to the constitution of the party by supporting anybody from Southern Nigeria, and the closest is Peter Obi”, Kaze stressed.
According to him, “In Plateau State, they have learnt from their mistake of 2015, when they refused to zone the governorship to Plateau South, and we lost the election; now its the turn of Plateau Central and the PDP in the State has respected that by zoning it there.
So, if I did not support the PDP candidate (late Sen. Gyang Pwajok) in my State (Plateau) in 2015, I will be unfair to him, if I support the candidature of Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential race.”
“Like Peter Obi or not; you can be diehard PDP or APC but his movement is reigning and raiding everywhere in this country; nobody can pretend not to take cognisance of this, because Nigerians feel both APC and PDP on the presidential tickets are avoidable, there is no question about that.
“Therefore, I don’t want to discuss Christian-Christian or Muslim-Muslim ticket; my own is simple, the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria provides that this country must be administered in a manner that commands national loyalty; the constitution of the PDP says that there shall be zoning, and it shall be enforced.
If PDP does not respect zoning at the presidential level, at what level would it respect zoning?”. He queried.

Sensible people. Not like the agbado and cassava paid urchins, they are all seated in their so called campaign media houses in front of a computer, creating threads and commenting with their other numerous monikers, sweating under AC with their supervisor, their conscience dead because of the 30k they will collect at the end of the month.

Only thing they have to campaign with is tribal card, shouting IPOB and Biafra everywhere like useless goats

This can country can be redeemed, we can fight ourselves out of this. We are currently in a deep hole, and only the strongest of hands can pull us out. Please, This is not the time to play tribal politics, we need people who sound like they know what they are talking about with regards to rescuing nigeria, People whose life story before they became presidential aspirant match that of someone who is sincere trying to help not loot.

Even in Peter Obi family his Brother has dedicated his Life to the church to serve humanity as a Reverend Father, His sister is Has dedicated her Life to the church to serve humanity as a Reverend Sister. His daughter of everything she could have been with all the opportunities availed to her is a school teacher, fighting for Children. Obi is from a family that is giving up on wealth to serve humanity, Obi cannot be different from them.

Look at what is happening in Sri Lanka, the suffering there no dey look face again old or young, poor or rich, Every Sri Lankan is in tears due to decades of bad governance. Look at Venezuela, mothers offer theirselves on the side of the street for $2 dollars just to eat.

We are at a Crossroads at the moment in this Country. We might have one last chance to salvage this country. Please dont sell your vote and the entire country so you can come here and starting claiming tribal supremacy on Nairaland or twitter while the country burns.

Make we follow who know Road, Peter Obi, Datti Ahmed seem to be walking on a Path that has light ahead of it.

The people fighting Peter Obi and Datti Baba Ahmed are fighting a lost battle.

Momentum is with #ObiBaba side. The youths and well-meaning Nigerians are on the side of #ObiBaba. Every possible permutation/calculation going into this election is on their side. They have more regions on their side than any other candidate.

They have more goodwill than any other candidate.

It's almost impossible for Labour party not to win this Presidential election.

Vote common sense. Vote competence. Vote #ObiBaba2023

I have no option but to support Peter obi because what Apc is about to do would spell doom for Christians, especially in my home town.
All Christians in Nigeria let's join hands together and be obediently yusuful.

Historically, people of Plateau State have most often aligned with South East in politics. In 1979, Solomon Lar was elected governor of Plateau State under Nnamdi Azikiwe's NPP( Nigeria Peoples Party). It's likely that Obi will get majority votes from Plateau State just like Zik in 1979 and 1983.

Wow, God bless this man, he is indeed a true definition of Honorable!

This is a PDP man publicly stating he would vote for Obi in Labour Party because PDP wasn't fair and inclusive.

However, any politician from the South, particularly SE and SS who is still doing party after all these happenings in PDP and APC against our people is a big fool.

PDP humiliated SE and SS people!
APC humiliated SS and SE people!!

Yet you feel because you're in APC, you would support Tinubu or because you're in PDP you will support Atiku?! If you think like that without learning from this wise Honorable in Plateau State, then you're a BIG FOOL.

E go shock the Agbado criminals when reality finally hits them. That picture you posted speaks volumes! If young guys would be bold to campaign for Obi/Labour Party by drawing it in their heads right their in SW, it then means that Obi's popularity is high over there too.
