Male Officer: Okay, Let's complete the biometrics first. Place your finger....... ........... then after the capturing. He said, Place back the two thumbs, it didn't capture well ( I did )

Male Officer: So, why Information Science?

Me (Female): Information Science covers a wide range of courses that will help me excel in my current job role as an IT research Officer. It covers Information retrieval, Data Analysis, Research methodologies. These will help me get the knowledge and skills that will help me excel as this is a male dominated industry.

Male Officer: So, where do you work?

Me ( female) : I work as an IT research Officer with Nirsal, Central Bank of.Nigeria

Male Officer: So, you work for Central Bank.of Nigeria?

Me: He is into furniture business. He has showrooms and factories in the south-eastern part of the country. He has over 50- 60 people working for him. He is is passionate about my education, that is why he is sponsoring me.

Till now no change in status on CEAC Page. My Portal on CGI Federal Secure which usually shows Passport is With US Embassy Nolonger shows that. It's now blank. It's been like that since 7 days.

I am confused. I don't even know what's happening. I sent an inquiry to them about the whereabouts of my passport Viz a Viz application and the response was a generic one.

No update via mail on Passport Pick-up. Nothing

Please I have a name mismatch
Upon downloading my appointment page , I noticed the surname on my applicant name and appointment made by are different.
The former is my marital surname while the later showed my maiden name.
Please how do I go about this?
I don’t even know how I didn’t notice it while filling the form.
Although I have been using the same email address for my applications and these will be my 4th.

If your the name on your DS-160 form does not match the name on your passport or payment receipt from GTB. You will have to send a feedback mail, within the appointment system to US embassy for correction. You may need to upload documents so support the name change.

My DS- 160, passport and payment receipt All match (e.g Adams) but when I downloaded my appointment confirmation I noticed my maiden name on the appointment made by (e.g Hassan) which is my maiden name but the applicant name still matches with Adams.
I hope you understand my scenario now.

Please my enquiry is on F1 visas. I've tried to go through the thread and I'm somehow stumbling on only B1 visas an the likes.

I got my i-20 from my school last week. What's the next step please.? Also saw something about the SEVIS fee or so. Please I'd appreciate a detailed guidance, preferably from someone who recently traveled for studies.

My admission came with an 80% funding scholarship. I also have a cousin (a priest), who lives 7mins away from the school, and who's going to be my sponsor on living expenses and the other 20% tuition. I'd be staying with him, and he has already identified with the school. I have a great paying job and an investment as well. Though I have never traveled before. What are my chances of getting the visa as quickly as possible please?

NB: My program starts on September 6th 2022.

Hey guys, is there any reason in particular Nigerians get 2 years visa validity while some other nationality gets more.
I applied to the USA with two friends, Brazilian and Indian (they both got 10 years) even though it was their first application.

I mean I’m not shocked just kinda surprised. Lol
