The only difference is that the transport carts use regular wheeled transport, not tank chains. Nothing special. Himars is just an ordinary MLRS equivalent to the Russian Katshuya that Russia used in the second world war. Maybe only the ammo is slightly different. Himars Ukraine uses regular ATACMS. Just that.


depend on ammo tobe loaded. the range really depends on the type of ammo used. I'm sure the one shipped to Ukraine is of the regular M39 ATACMS. Range is only 165 km. Not the limited edition PrSM type with a GPS guided missile with a range of more than 300 km.
