Nigerian Army acquires ex-Jordanian FV-107 Scimitars

The Nigerian Army has taken delivery of an unspecified number of ex-Jordanian FV-107 Scimitars to improve its firepower against extremists.

The FV-107 Scimitars are part of the second consignment of equipment procured from Jordan.

The FV107 Scimitar is an armoured reconnaissance vehicle, one of the CVR(T) series of vehicles that entered service in 1971. Although sometimes classed as a light tank, it is very similar to the FV101 Scorpion.

Jordan and Nigeria maintain a strong relationship and cooperation. In 2017, the Jordan government pledged to deliver 200 armored vehicles and helicopters to Nigeria.

I don't understand, targeted by whom? Why?

With all that power a country can get into heavy manufacturing, like processing ore before exporting it.

This is the best investment any African country can make, this dutch company can build a semi conductor factory. The potential of any country investing in this is limitless

Both have thesame capabilities , just that himars is faster(which why it was mainly designed for) due to it been wheeled and very light and more optimal for Ukrainians situation

I got attracted to this book because of its details on the Umaru Dikko affair of the '80s.

Not everytime you see a Western author talk about Nigerian intelligentsia. Very interesting read in all. Unbias in all stories

Read this and come dissuade me that James Bond was not Israeli!

Just like Twitter and Twitter lite. HIMARS rockets are designed smaller, but very precise. Also very light for high mobility, so after a quick launch which takes like 5 minutes max, you move to a new position.... But mlrs due to its weight, it launch period is just 5-10 minutes notwithstanding the processes beforehand and also moving can be very slow due to its weight even though it's tired(8 minimum) or tracks.
