Hello Everyone, I know this place is not the right section to post this but I need a place where this can get enough publicity. Sorry to bore you with my tales of woes but the truth is, I am at the lowest point in my life right now. I got a loan of 500,000 to repay 891,000 plus in a duration of 12months from fairmoney, meaning I will be paying 74,667 plus every month. Though I knew it won't be easy, I decided to give it a go after someone in my street who is into yam selling from Benue State explain how the business works , the profit margins and all that, I was convinced that if done , at least I will be able to be offsetting the monthly loan amount without much hassles since it takes four days to get to Lagos and in a about two days time, I would have sold if not but most of the yams and repeat and that encouraged me to get the loan. I even went to Zaki Ibiam in Benue which is the main center for yams in Nigeria to buy the yams with a contact person that a friend introduced to me there. I didn't planned for what will befall me on my very first trip as the vehicle converging the goods to Lagos had a breakdown and wasted much more time than usually expected, before the yams could get to Lagos, so many has gone bad and I invested almost all the money in the hope of realizing enough profit in order to start on strong footing towards repayment of the loan, I know it would have been better if I had started small but that about the only business on my mind then and with the loan repayment bearing down too, I have managed to repay the first month and the second one is due in 13days time which I will manage to repay but after that, I don't know how I am going to navigate this again since there won't be enough capital to do any kind of business talk more of repayment of loan. Please, I plead with you my brothers and sisters to assist me in any which way to enable me get this burden off my back, I am so depressed right now, feel so empty and confused and for the first time in my life having suicidal thoughts. I can provide all evidences if demanded, I just wanted to help myself and don't know that I will fall into this mess. I decided to come here because I have practically run out of options. Thanks all, CC OAM4J, Mynd44) |

Number one tip of doing business, don't borrow to invest and don't invest what you can't loose. You didn't calculate for loses, but I hope you get help. |

Running a business in Nigeria would humble you.... - how do you take an almost 100% interest loan for a newly ventured business.. - You were venturing into perishable goods and didnt make plans for contingencies?.. - Taking a loan for a business, you make available 2 months repayment plan to surmount contingencies and unforseen circumstances.. God-speed as you navigate your way through.. |

hilaryCU:I'm currently in the same position you are, although my debt is slightly less than your's and I've already defaulted on some. Took out a loan to invest in a business that failed, and I'm struggling with this. First off let me advice you on a few things, it may be tempting, but don't try to take out any other loans to payoff the existing ones, that was a mistake I did, not unless you have a stable employment and salary, then maybe seek out a debt consolidation loan to pay off your current one, and pay off the consolidation loan over a longer period of time. Or else You'll just be digging a deeper grave for yourself. Second fairmoney offers a loan extension for 2 weeks for the cost of 10% of your next installment, if you think you can find enough money in that time to pay off the loan then it's a better option than defaulting, if not then don't waste what little you have. If the loan app is connected to your ATM, I'd recommend you get online banking for your bank account and disable that ATM. Or move your money to a different account. Fairmoney may claim they will deduct from your other accounts, but it's all just talk, they don't have the ability or authorization to do that with just your bvn. Fairmoney is registered as a micro finance bank, and with that they have to follow regulation. They can't just up and defame you just like that. They will be bothering you with calls first to repay, I'd advice picking up all their calls, and letting them say what ever they want to you, it will not be easy, but they only have authorization to call or massage your contacts in the event you start avoiding them. They are only legally allowed to call you or your contacts between 8:00 am, to 9:00pm. If they either defame you when you answer their calls, or call you at the wrong time, they can be fined. They will blacklist your bvn, but it just means you won't have access to loans and credit anymore, your money and your bank use won't be affected. The worse that will happen, is they take you to court, but they won't do that too easily, because of the cost and time involved, but in the event they do, just remember this is a civil case, not a criminal case, the chance of you facing jail time are miniscule. I've flirted with the idea of suicide, but that's not for me, my spite and will to get through this won't allow me. I wish you the best of luck. |

FirstSon01:I totally agree with you. ![]() The country may be hard yet we are surviving. ![]() To whom it may concern, here is a secret method we have been using to make some side income. Works in any country. The process is very slow, and you do it every day..but you can withdraw up to $2500 once you reach the minimum withdrawal limit. I will drop the link below so you can get more details about the program here: |

Loan apps isn't really for helping you, it's actually to take away from you codedly. Sorry about what you are going through. For you to have built that credit score, I hope you are not addicted to borrowing. |
