I'm already imagining the blank look on the faces of the bookstore attendants in Nigeria when you ask about such a book

If you're like me that finds it easy to read books electronically, head to pdfdrive.com and search that title

Somebody is thinking! Though it takes time for operators to get used to they're ideal for the environment. They provide a height advantage enabling the rider to see farther than enemy on foot and are faster to search an area while being less tiring.

And easy pickings for snipers.

Modern warfare is protected mobility and that's why there are now platforms to address that no matter the terrain.

The police component of #ATMIS has been bolstered by the arrival of 160 officers of the #Nigerian Formed Police Unit (NFPU), who will provide support to the #Somali Police Force in line with the #Somalia Transition Plan.

41 Newly deployed Individual Police Officers (IPOs) to ATMIS have concluded an induction course to acquaint themselves with the Mission’s mandate and standard operating procedures. The team of officers with specialist skills arrived in the mission from the six police contributing countries - Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, and will work in support with Somali police on the Somali Transition Plan.

Our theatre isn't the J/Uke situation. The Portuguese perfected combined dragoon/airmobile tactics in Angola in the 70s.

In 1966, the Portuguese Army created an experimental horse platoon, to operate against the guerrillas in the high grass region of the Eastern Angola. Each soldier of this unit was armed with a G3 battle rifle to use in combat on foot, and with a Walther P38 semi-automatic pistol to use while on horseback.[1] The troops on horseback were able to operate in difficult terrain (unsuited for motor vehicles), were less vulnerable to landmines and had the advantage of being able to control the area around them, with a clear view over the grass (which foot troops did not have). Moreover, these unconventional troops created a psychological impact over the enemy, who were not accustomed to dealing with horse troops and had no kind of training or strategy with which to face them.[2]

The experimental horse platoon was so successful that its entire parent battalion (the Reconnaissance Group of Angola) was transformed from an armoured reconnaissance unit - equipped mainly with Panhard EBR armoured cars - to a three squadron horse battalion known as the "Dragoons of Angola". One of the typical operations carried out by the Dragoons of Angola, in cooperation with airmobile forces, consisting of the dragoons chasing the guerrillas and pushing them into one direction, with the airmobile troops being launched from helicopter in the enemy rear, getting it trapped between the two forces.[3]

IIRC,an ex commander said such a unit could clear an area in a third of the time with half the guys of an inf unit.

Apparently the idea to re-introduce camel patrol was conceived sometime back in 2018 some officers traveled to India to learn how they are employed in border policing along the 1400km Indo Pakistan border.
The pioneer unit which is under AP Border patrol consists of fifty camels that were trained in Isiolo .
The Brits previously had camel corps based in Wajir during colonial era .

Guys check this out, s400 and buk 101 Vs himars... Couple of comments are doubting it sha, it's left for the pros here to analyse whether it's propaganda or not
generally one does not use a missile which costs at least 1.5 million dollars per missile ( for the S400 system) to intercept little MLRS rockets . Even for the Buk systems it would be too expensive and not really effective .

To deal with the Himars it must be the artillery ,MLRS , counter battery systems and radars that are involved with air force and UAV assistance .
