This question was informed by several claims of some nefarious elements that the campaign against Tinubu candidacy is because he’s Yoruba while the support for Peter Obi by most people from Eastern Nigeria is because he’s Igbo. But is this true? Reno Omokri and most others had to call us out for rejoicing when Ekweremadu was arrested in the UK. But if you wanna argue that we rejoiced over his arrest because he criticized Peter Obi, remember he was earlier beaten in Germany and the Igbos supported the beating. Again in all of Okorocha’s travails, we have been his greatest mockers. Reason we didn’t blink an eye when EFCC broke into his home to arrest and he was trying to whip up sentiments by being dramatic online. Similarly, when OUK declared for presidency, the Igbos didn’t blink an eye nor raise a strand of their hair. Now, imagine either Okorocha or OUK emerged as APC and Osinbajo resigned from APC to contest in Labour Party like Obi is doing, who do you think most of Igbo people especially the youth will support? The Igbos will not only support Osibanjo, they will even insult Okorocha unless Okorocha is better than the person That is why people always say Igbos are not united or they don't support themselves. If you are corrupt the Igbos will abandon and de-market you. Peter Obi is tested and trusted without any corruption hanging on his neck and that is why Igbos are solidly behind him except the few corrupt Igbo politicians that knows nothing for them if Peter Obi becomes the President. Peter Obi is not power drunk. He was in APGA as a Governor and wanted to join PDP. He made sure he campaigned for APGA candidate and ensured free and fair election and handed over to APGA and then joined PDP - an opposition party. This post of yours is coming from position of tribalism. Maybe you should do well by telling with results from each region who the Igbo voted for since beginning of democracy? This is just the first time igbo candidate came out for election the igbos are standing beside him not because he is from the Igbo ethnic stock but for what he is bringing to the table. We would support osinbanjo. Infact if any other igbo man was contesting today (asides moghalu). He will never have a movement behind him. The same Osinbajo they’ve been abusing and cursing since 2015 or which one? Did you vote for him when he was the vice presidential candidate of APC in 2015 and 2019? You think we’ve forgotten the popular campaign before the primary election that if the SE can’t get it, power should remain in the north. Did you consider Osinbajo when you were pushing that agenda? Igbos actually think they can gaslight the SW into supporting Peter Obi and it’s really so amusing. In terms of capacity, competency, record of achievements and national appeal, Tinubu is still the best candidate in the race. "In 2003 he ran for the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) presidential ticket but lost......Try to keep up because by 2005, Okorocha had formed the Action Alliance party, with plans to vie for presidency in the 2007 elections. A few months later, by September 2007 Okorocha was back in the PDP" It is not about the party but the individual.
