General Passport Renewal Requirements
1. Photocopy of data page
2. Standard passport application form (it will be available for print out after you have filled the form online and paid)
3. Payment receipt
4. Appointment Slip (this is the form that has your appointment date and time, [application and reference id] keep your Ids safe, you'd need them for tracking or to continue the application incase you did not complete it in a day)
5. Letter of application
6. The expired passport
The fee should be 25k for 5 years (32 pages), 35k for 5 years (64 pages) and 70k for 10 years (64 pages)

To be honest, I don't know if it's necessary. But on my path, I did NIN revalidation and it cost me 3k.

Grateful to God and for this Nairaland community, I went through the DIY route, I captured on June 3rd, my passport is already out@ Abuja HQ, I even collected the officer’s contact that did my capture and he assisted me to confirm that it’s ready

DIY route.

I went to their office to ask if my passport is ready and to my surprise I was told it's ready.

Will collect mine tomorrow by His grace.

*New/Fresh International passport*

*Stage 1*: Register on their website: https://passport.immigration.gov.ng/application and pay either 25k for 5 years (32 pages), 35k for 5 years 64 pages or 70k for 10 years 64 pages +1k for service charge. So your total payment can be 26k, 36k or 71k.

*Stage 2*: still on the website, print guarantors form, acknowledgement form and payment Receipt. Once you are done with payment, proceed to book an appointment and print out the form.

*Stage 3*: Take the guarantor form to anyone that feels comfortable serving as your guarantor could be your friend, sibling, boss, colleague etc and let them fill. Your guarantor will attach a passport photograph and photocopy of valid international passport data page. (i think with NIN but i am not sure)

*Stage 4*: Take the guarantor's form to any magistrate or high court for stamp (its not free. I think from 1k and above...it depends)


*Documents to bring to the immigration office*

1. Standard passport application form
2. Acknowledgement form
3. Payment Receipt
4. Filled and stamp guarantors form with valid international passport data page (just come along with a photocopy of their NIN slip)
5. 2 coloured passport photograph (your own)
6. Photocopy of NIN slip
7. Photocopy of Birth certificate
8. Photocopy of State of Origin
*You can also go with original of 6,7 and 8*

Duration: from 6 weeks and above

Copied: When you enter Ikoyi passport office, by the right hand you will see a "Servicecom" sign, speak with any of the staff sitting inside the cubicle.
He/she will collect all your document vet it and return it with another documents and ask you to photocopy it and fill (make sure you photocopy it before filling)
After filling the documents, retire it to the "ServiceCom" person . He or she will open a file for you and write places you have to go for signing and stamping.
After stamping in one place, ask the person "where is next" politely and follow through the process.
When you're done with capturing, before stepping out of the capturing hall, a man will collect your file and register it.
After that, take your file back to the "ServiceCom" personnel and your DONE.

See, once you start the application online, you will see all the documents you are expected to bring. So its possible that some documents might not be necessary and as well that i might have omitted some. E.g: for re-issue: a letter of application is required. I dont know if it applies same for fresh. Also...keep your reference and application id safe. You might need it.
