How did Nigeria help her?

She’s simply unfortunate to be born to Nigerian parents. Because I’m certain she would have gone farther if she wasn’t from this hellhole of a country.
which other further do you expect her to go again ? Abi, dont you understand what to create a "WORLD RECORD" is ... on top of that one, she collect GOLD MEDAL.

So why is the major Yoruba city a shithole of global reject for scumbags despite the rich legacy of Awolowo and Jakandehuh
Why did we allow a rogue like Thiefnuibu to hold us hostage for over two decades of looting recklessly?
Lagos is a State not city’ again Lagos is the highest state in Nigeria with highest GDP .

Tell me a state in Nigeria that is most populous? There must be a reason for that. Don’t ever in your life disrespect Lagos and Yoruba ever in life .

Lagos is like New York and London to many village people here.

This is how it works....

Whenever an athlete participates in track and field events, including long jump and Triple jump, the wind is always recorded. There is an advantage the wind gives so the allowable tailwind should not be above +2m/s.

So, if you win and the wind measured during that race exceeds 2m/s, you are given the gold but the record is not entered.

In her first race, she ran 12.40s (+1.5m/s) to smash the African Record..

She ran 12.12 (+0.9m/s), to smash the World Record.
She ran 12.06 (+2.5m/s), not recorded.

Save for the long-distance races, javelin, hammer, discus....all other track and field events abide by that rule.

Why ebi say na when she run 12.06 wind come be +2.5m/s ,why!!!!!!!!!huhhuh?

Nigeria's in-form sprinter, Tobi Amusan has completed an incredible double by breaking the world record for the 100m women's hurdle and also winning a gold medal at the ongoing world Athletics Championship, Eugene, Oregon.

The young Nigerian, who had initially broken the world record in the semi final by recording a time of 12.12 seconds, won the final in a time of 12.06 swcobds to crown an amazing evening at the WACH.

She would have recorded two world records in One Night had the original time achieved in for her final race(12.06 secs) not been adjusted for wind direction.

All the same, it was an incredible night for the Nigerian athlete who will take home a prize of $100,000 for breaking the world record in the semi final race.
Congrats dear. Pls I just hope you pass the drug test too cos those mofos will check that next.

Yes, they will say this is how Marion Jones started. The annoying thing is the stand-off by some of them.

Michael Johnson, a man I adored on the Sydney2000 even talked down on her time, that the clock perhaps malfunctioned....that is to tell you that if this tournament didn't hold in the US, they might have disputed the records.

I am proud of Tobi and her Jamaican coach. who herself is a former hurdler and Commonwealth Champion.
Hmmmm....

Can you now see why I used the word shady?
After all, the anemometer is controlled and analyzed by a person. Who's to say they would not have recorded a wild speed of 1.9m/s under a different circumstance.

All the same, we should all be proud of Tobi she's been in fantastic form all year.

The wind speed is automated and this is not the first time it will happen.

In the African Athletics Championships in Mauritius, this year...She beat Gloria Alozie's Games Record of 12.7s set in Dakar in 1998, but the wind was above 2m/s as well, so Alozie keeps her record.

It is not even easy to beat a 12:12s, only an Amusan can do that. The OR was 12:37s, and the woman who did that finished 3rd yesterday with 12:23s. Kendra, my baby, who had the former WR did not even climb the podium. We are ok with 12:12s, we no mind.

Yea....

Johnson was talking in the rubbish because their girl Keni was knocked off on home soil. He is still angry with Nigeria since 2000, but no be we cause am. The US had run a powerful, very powerful race in the relays of which Johnson finished with one of the most scintillating of runs. Nigeria came 2nd in one of the strongest relay showings in the Olympics.

Two years later, one of the Americans (not Johnson) was discovered to have been on drugs, they were stripped off the medals and Nigeria given Gold grin grin grin grin

Sorry. Are you saying they did not record the last race because of the Wind advantage?

Yes, it is called wind-assisted and will not be recorded.

What will be recorded will be 12:12s, she set in the semis.

The wind speed is there on the board calculated live , so lets leave all shady stuff .
Bamibor:
They just cited some shady technicality about wind reading to rob her of her second world record time.

The verdict us that a record time of 12.12 secs, is maintained for her.

I have a very good feeling about Amusan still being the one to break that 12.12 secs record and having it for quite awhile

I got the name now: Antonio Pettigrew, he was the one who confessed to using drugs (He ran the second lap). He died in 2010.

Only an Amusan will break 12'12s.......
