I am a teacher. I work in a school that pays 18k.

It's rough out here but nobody go dash me that 18k

True to some extent but never underestimate grace and luck.
You just might get someone to dash you that same amount 18,000 and still set you up to learn a reasonable skill

20k doesn’t worth the stress per month considering how cost of everything has skyrocketed..

This may sound very foolish. Let's enter a deal. Get many of God's promises and vehemently and shamelessly start declaring it.... morning, afternoon and night. Within few days open another thread and tell us the wonders in his words..... powerful and quick!!!!.....e.g.
Psalm 138:8 "Father, in Jesus name and according to your word, perfect all that concerns me"

Note: stay away from hurting your maker in anyway for this to work.

Ignore this and keep complaining

The director would be making a big mistake to accept you back but you can try your luck. Next time, don't let go of something until you have something tangible you have grabbed.

The market has told you for now, your skills level is 20k. Take your 20k job and improve your skills or do a side hustle until you undisputedly have aquire 100k+ naira worth of skills.

Here in Ibadan, some sec school cert holders earn 12k per month

I think private school teachers are underpaid in PH
Btw, it's good to have a side business even as a salary earner

There are many legit side hustles that people can engage in

No be civil service where they are ranking payment based on degree. Private sector is based on the problem you are solving and how much they are willing to pay.

Male or female, what is your qualifications and which side of PH are you? You guys should know how to sell your service. When you bring up an issue like this, I think you are also saying, anyone that can help you get something better should do that but without certain information, how can such person see you for assessment through your post?
Now lets go back to your question, don't go back to your former company, instead accept any of the new offers with the same amount. By so doing you would have gain two experience. Aside that, if you are actually good on the job and your former company ask you to come back, you can bargain for a better offer but the reverse will be the case if you go back to them, they can even reduce your salary or intentionally delay it because they will have the feeling that they are your last hope

Even cleaners will reject 18k

Who said he is lying? Even in Abuja some private schools still pay degree holders (not NCE) who are teachers N20 -N25k. Some are even owed salaries. So many schools do not even pay for the months when students are on vacation.

Thus, I assure you that some graduate teachers earn this N20k - N25k for only nine(9) months in a year. No Christmas allowance, no nothing extra. They do the work but so many are sad. As long as school fees is low, workers salary remain low.

It is well with our nation.

If your monthly net income is more than your monthly expenses, then I’ll say take up the next available 20k job, while you aspire for something better.
Hopefully, the “hardship” and discomfort that comes with earning just 20k in a month would serve as fuel for your burning desire to get something much better!

If you’re open to relocating, there’s job group I can refer you to on telegram. They also advertise some telecommute jobs too if you don’t wanna relocate.

It is well bro. Here on the island, SSCE holders working in hotels are earning up to N50,000 monthly. Those in large shopping malls net in not less than N70,000 monthly extra time and straight shift inclusive. But the cost of living here is on the high side
