Tourist visa. It's been almost 4 months since we applied at VFS Abuja, no response from them till now. No one can accurately predict a timeline for visa approval. Only God knows what's going on over there.

Good afternoon guys, please I need y'all to help me make a decision.

I've just been accepted for a short course/Training in south Africa, and my invitation has been sent to me, so my question is.... should I apply for E-visa?, Or should I apply through VFS Abuja?, I'm expected to be in SA by the first week of October, what do I do guys?.

Thank you sir for link .This is a flimsy excuse from the minister . Many countries of the world detect fraudulent visas yet continue visa process. It is an act of wickedness to hold someone passport for 7 months in the name of process

I really can't tell. they have been incredibly slow in processing visas. You can try the evisa fir now and hope they respond on time.

I eventually ended up paying for the visa fee on the 9th May 2022 but it till today the 26th of July, no response from them in any form, no visa approved, no visa denial. I don’t understand it, please can anyone relate?

Would I be right to suspect this is to get PTA? If so, maybe you can try Zim, Namibia, Malawi or Morocco... my advice.

Yes I later got someone in South Africa to help me make the payment using his South African credit card while I paid him the equivalent from here. But interestingly after 2 months plus of making the payment, I’m yet to get any form of response from them.

Yes they are!!! For those that paid for medical insurance scheme, months are counting while money is going down the drain, yet they refused to issue visa. When Lagos and PH centers were opened, we even taught some measures have been taken as regards the delay in issuing of visa not knowing is still the same. It really sucks and highly frustrating.

This stuff is really getting annoying... I first submitted my tourist visa application on the 28th of feb and got denial for the reason that I didn't tell them my source of income because I had huge inflow of about 150m n a closing balance of 5m. on that application I stated that I was a businessman and I submitted my business CAC doc. maybe because I have didn't tell them that I was running my business with my personal account. mind you, my uncle is a citizen and he sent me invitation letter, with a police stamped copy of his ID. We bear same surname. yet I got denial. I received my passport back March 26th. I arranged my documents again and stated that I was running my business with my personal account because my corporate acct got issues. I also attached another invitation letter from my uncle with police stamp. I resubmit in abuja again on the 30th of march, that's 4days after they returned my passport. till today my application its till under assessment. like, today made it 4months with my Passport, my travel date on the application was 25th of June. so like this travel date done pass.. for just South Africa. and I am not a first time traveler. I was in SA 2018, I have been to Dubai 3 times since I came back from SA. Please why will this ppl hold someone passport for that long. na see finish they cause all this rubbish.

Not true please, the "direct flight time" must be 5hours and above. hence, you can only get PTA to egypt, ethiopia, djibouti, eritrea, south africa, kenya, mozambique, madagascar, seychelles, mauritius, comoros, tanzania, lesotho, swaziland etc.

Anyone who gives you PTA to rwanda, which is a 4hrs 30mins flight time does that at his or her own peril.
