Sorry in advance for the long story. I just want to share my story for reference/encouragement.

Summary and timelines

IELTS: November 2019 (L: 8, S: 9, W: 7, R: 9, overall: 8.5).
ECA: April 15, 2020 (I used WES)
CRS: 475
Entered the pool: May 19, 2020
ITA: September 2, 2020
Upfront medicals: October 15, 2020
Aor: November 4, 2020
Bil: January 10, 2021
Upfront medicals: March 18, 2022 (raised webform and didn’t get a reply till after 2 months, *sigh*)
Medicals request: April 9, 2022
ADR schedule A, PCC and PoF: April 11, 2022 (for PCC I only did for Nigeria given that I had previously submitted my UK PCC and had only lived in Nigeria since my AOR)
ADR submitted: April 14, 2022
Medicals passed: June 17, 2022 (after raising about 3 webforms)
PPR email: June 22, 2022

VFS journey

Passport sent using red star express: June 24, 2022 (Friday afternoon)
Arrived VAC Abuja: June 27, 2022 (Monday morning)
***No update from VAC Abuja***
Tracked my application on VSF website using a tracking number I got from a VSF agent (via phone call) on July 8, 2022 and got this update “Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 2022/06/27. To know more, please call VAC helpline number or visit VAC website”
Counterfoil generated: July 18, 2022
Copr received : July 25, 2022

Narrative

One thing that is for sure is that this whole process has been torture! This process has humbled me and thought me patience.

My journey started in 2019 with my mum hounding me to look into this process. I was still in school then and to be sincere I was not interested. All I wanted was to finish my MSc program and get a good paying job where ever I could (Nigeria not withstanding) I wanted to be close to as much family as I could be.
Anywho fast forward to October after my dissertation my friend convinced. She wanted us to start at the same time and hold each other accountable. At that point my time in UK was coming to an end, so I decided to start with IELTS while waiting for my degree to come out. There was no harm in trying, right?

I entered the pool in May 2020 and that was when the wait truly started. At this point Nigeria and Covid had frustrated my life (still frustrating my life but thank God for this new opportunity). Fast forward to getting ITA. In my mind I had given myself 6 months to be in Canada, little did I know that covid was not yet done with us angry . During my wait I took the vaccine as soon as I could (didn’t want my village people playing with my destiny) I even took booster shot. I was not taking any chance.
In February of 2022, my hope soared when I saw people getting ppr left right and center. I waited and waited for my turn but no news. More frustration cry. I took matters into my own hands and did an upfront medical but ircc was on a mission to exasperate my soul. I sent various webforms but no update on my portal. They now decided to one up themselves by asking me for remedicals. At this point I felt like my village people were working overtime. I was not in the country and had already spent so much money doing my upfront medical. I didn’t have it in me to do another so I just waited and trusted everything to God. I had proof of my upfront medical and raised webforms so I knew that even after the 30days timeframe they could not reject my application. I won’t lie and say that I wasn’t worried but what more could I do? At this point NSPPD was my mum’s resting place.

The golden email (as we all call it) came one random night. I was shocked. Didn’t even know that my medicals had been passed lol. I was confused because I only received an email and no update was made on my portal. After consulting you guys (Big shout out to @Allegory and @Dimple10; also @GraciousWords for creating this thread so beautifully ps: congratulations on your ppr) I submitted my passport. And now the wait is finally over!

Good luck to everyone. God will do it for you as well.

I think cio is Nova Scotia so maybe try calling them at exactly few mins to 12noon our time to speak to an agent and explain whats up. whatever you do, it's not advisable to send passport before adding baby. if passport was ready now i for say add baby's passport to docs with an LOE and send forms via webform.

Try calling, there's a possibility that your VO is in canada so you'll get to speak to an agent

Thanks so much, God bless you

Don’t send passports. I was in the same shoes and we have the same VO too. Good news is that CIO is really fast. Reply to the RFV mail informing them of the baby and attach all the documents you have ready including the necessary forms. They’ll acknowledge then create a placeholder for baby’s passport. Give them the likely date you’re expecting the passport if possible attach the document that shows capture or collection date so that they just don’t give you a one week deadline.

Thanks so much, God bless you.

Please what is our VO since you mentioned us having same VO. I have no idea. Please

Just go for BCS that matches your noc for SINP purposes
1760:
Hello, house,

I need a guide, I tried applying for SINP, but my challenge is that my NOC (2171 tech) must match my ECA I had my degrees in social sciences.

I had BCS (2 or more) which is related to my NOC.

My questions:

Can I use (evaluate) my BCS which matches my NOC for SINP purposes? given that my undergraduate NOC is 2171 (they are related)

Won't my ECA in social sciences affect negatively my present NOC which is in tech now?

Hello people…
I’m in a fix and I need some clarifications
1. I’m a teacher by profession in a primary school and we are paid by cash. Beginning of the year I requested if I could be paid into my bank account, my proprietor opted for the use of cheque. Is this method okay for proof?

2. I had to open a current account this year for the cheque(salary) to be paid into and also opened a savings account.
I hope using a recently opened bank account for POF wouldn’t raise eyebrows?

Thank you

We got RFV mail from the same e-mail address so I assume your VO is also Ottawa.

For the forms, I think I filled No or NIL in all the spaces requesting details we didn’t have yet. But scan the letter of explanation before scanning the forms

I submitted mine to vsf Abuja and it took 4 weeks a friend of mine submitted hers to vsf Lagos and it took about 5 weeks while it took another person who submitted to vsf Lagos almost 2 weeks after my friend 4 weeks. The time frame is not guaranteed.

Mine got to Lagos VAC on 22 June and is it still with the IRCC in Ghana. That is almost 5 weeks gone. So I definitely recommend that you try other visa offices if you are in a hurry to travel.

it's the date the test was written. its valid for 2yrs from that date

The two years actually counts from the test report form date. That would most likely be the result release date.

I don’t think that date is reliable because the only date on that form is the date of collection not release date; if you take ielts on July 26th 2022 and collect the result on July 26th 2024, the date on your result would show July 26th 2024. In this case, are you going to pretend your results ain’t expired just cos you collected it two years later

Hello everyone,
Please I really need clarity on this biko;
Got SINP ITA this July. Part of our POF was in treasury bill since February and was in excess of the amount we needed to show. In May hubby liquidated it in other to withdraw the excess fund for business. The liquidated funds has since been in his savings account with same bank. The last withdrawal made was on June 23 but our total POF is not reduced/short despite these withdrawals. Should this pose a problem I’m looking forward to your responses please.

should be fine...submit the treasury bill certificate from February as well as statement showing where the money was withdrawn to your account. LOE too would work.

Interestingly, I checked the tracking website just now and it says the passport has been sent back to the Ghana VAC. This happened today because I still checked last night. See the message below

"Visa application, tracking ID No. – Your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office on 2022/07/25 to the Canada Visa Application Centre. Please when does IELTS expire? Is it the date I wrote the exam or the date it was released?

I agree with those that say it is date you wrote the exam, especially because of Allegory's point that the test report date can be many months after exam date. If it were me I'd choose the most conservative date which is the exam date.

https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/questions-answers-by-topic.asp?st=29.4.2

Your language test results must be valid (written in the last two years) when you submit your application for permanent residence.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Dimple10: 1:41pm On Jul 26, 2022
i dunno where that screenshot originated from but it's valid 2 years from test date. when you write sef, they will announce it at the center (at least they did at mine). Also when you create a profile and input ielts test date, your profile becomes invalid once 2yrs from test date reach and no ITA

You can try it and see for yasef

1. a cheque would still be paid into an account..... so you can highlight the cheque salary payment in the SOA print out if you want to. You could also get cash salary certificate for the cash payments.

2. new account won't raise any red flags so long as you provide explanation of how the POF got there e.g. gift deed, sale of assets, etc
