How Do I Break My Addiction To Nairaland? by imagrg(m): 9:18pm On Jul 26, 2022
Whenever I go online, the first website I visit is always Nairaland. I am beginning to feel that I've become addicted to it.
For many years now, before I visit any site at all, I always at least check on the news headlines on the front page. This has been a daily routine for years now. So, how do I break this addiction?.

I'm on this table also and I don't see it as an addiction.

I come to NL frontpage to check what's going on in the country and I'm out of NL

is not an addiction. Nairaland is an online community. It depends on what you use it for. Go to travel section, go to programming, job, people are benefiting.

It's not an addiction....coming here is never a waste of time depending on how you use it.

I learn here everyday and it's my only social media....no WhatsApp, facebook, twitter, instagram for me.

Seun really did a great job in creating this site ..you can never go bored on Nairaland as there are divers sections and sub-sections.

Above all....I no dey subscribe....I surf for free...it's cheap but develops my IQ.

This is like someone going into a drinking spot to ask for help in overcoming alcohol addiction.

In my opinion there's no danger in checking nairaland..

Let me ask,
<< Do you do your job as at when due without nairaland hindering u?
<< Does the amount of time you spend here reduce the income you should have earned?
<< Does it produce any kind of health hazzard/ challenges to you?
<<Does it matter the first website u check first while online?
Checking email first, or nairaland first, or even WhatsApp does not matter in my opinion. cool

I am in your shoes. However, i am thinking of ending my visits as there are important updates i get here.
But if you have to break your addiction. Clear your history on your browser or uninstall the app and consciously don't visit the site.

When the urge comes, just ask yourself what for? your answer should repel the urge.

Quora isn't bad but contributions made there are mostly from non-nigerians.

I've been a Nairalander since 2006. I registered my first account same year and this current one in 2010.

It's said that every addiction is a bad thing. I am on NL every blessed day but I can't say I am addicted to it.

Even if it's an addiction, it's a blessed one at that. I have made several headways in life through content and valuable tips from this site. From Internship, to NYSC, to jobs, to marriage, to travels, lucrative businesses, the list is endless.

The key is to use the site to your advantage because information is power and don't just waste your entire life on it.

God bless you Seun Osewa.

No website like nairaland

The ability for a member to create their own thread is so commendable, that is why other websites don't come close to it, this website is way above them

You can maneuver nairaland easily
