Option A
Therefore that would cost either #1.58M (5000x 289) or at (6000 x 289) = #1. 73m

Now option B ( your intended option)

Cement 170 x 6800 = #1.156M
Labour. #1200 x 289 = #343,200
Other materials 300k
Total #1.8 M

it depends on location. You wont get best quality pop with quality materials for less than 6000/sqm. that's the lowest for now unless dey just do "dabaru" job for you and mere home theater sound will make your pop start falling.

If you paid him #6000 per sqm and he bought the materials from what you paid him, then he owns the remaining bags of pop cement. Assuming you only paid him for workmanship, and you bought the pop cement by yourself or he helped you, then you own the remaining bags. My opinion!

Option A is always better. But client think they can save enough money by going for option B but in some cases it won’t happens….

Pay per sqm with materials in labor inclusive then go to sleep…

Personally I like to pay cash and have my job done standardly.

But buying materials yourself and paying only workmanship is meant to save you extra bucks BUT nigerian labourers will frustrate your aim.

They will ask you to buy 170bags cement,
BUT if you give them cash and monitor closely, they won't buy upto 100bags and will still deliver the job.

1. I'm not in the site. I didn't tell anyone to open each carton to count for me. Here's what a carton will achieve:
For the walls, I'm using 25 by 40. A carton will cover 1.5sqm. there's another size, 30 by 60. Its being sold for 2900 per carton. Each carton of that covers about 1sqm.
A carton of 40x40 will cover 1.9sqm and there are 12 pcs inside the carton.

I don't know if Mr Bolu1986 can help with some pictures. He is likely to be there today to inspect a separate work.
2. I'll try to do that once I have a clear one. The one they sent to me was taken last night.
3. He does most of his jobs in Lagos because he lives in akute.

I was even thinking of buying from a big store and just collect receipt while they keep for me. Once I'm ready in about 2 months time I go and pickup.
Planning to do this for tiles too. Reason,

1. Rising cost of dollar will begin to reflect in the market prices soon

2. Make i chuck the small cash I have at hand into something before I spend it.
