I use to suspect some or majority of hotel in Lagos are guilty of this, I currently still searching online and many porn sites to see if by mistake I will see myself one day, they are now selling innocent people sex tapes online without many of them not knowing...

Lol. That's a passive infrared sensor not camera. The AC uses it for automatic temperature regulation.

He should have at least asked questions. Assuming he mentioned the name of the hotel he could have been sued heavily.

This guy is very ignorant that is calling a camera motion sensor that some Panasonic AC have, to detect the movement of a person in the room for eco-friendly use. So when it detects movement of the human body the AC will start working. But if no human body is detected the AC will stop to wake at its maximum.
