I don't want to be subjective about this matter, let's see the agreement between the two parties.
This is the response of Imo state government:

Imo state government has described as distasteful and cheap blackmail the claim by Innoson Motors that it is owing the company N2.5b being cost of the vehicles it supplied to it some months ago, insisting that the company’s claim are half truths ,intended to impugn on the integrity of the state government for ulterior motives.

Reacting to a threat by the company that it is filling a lawsuit to recover” over N2.5B debt owed’ it by the state government, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon Declan Emelumba deplored the manner the company is going about the recovery of the so called debt.

The Commissioner said the truth is that the government bought vehicles worth over N5b from Innoson motors and has so far paid them N3.5b.

According to him, contrary to the claim of Innoson Motors, the said N2.5b is actually the balance due from the original value of the purchase. He regretted that Innoson motors, for reasons best known to them, decided to hide this fact from the public.

Emelumba insisted that the total value of the vehicles supplied was in excess of N5b and that the government has been servicing the debt since then.

He said the management of Innoson Motors was actually the one that breached the contractual agreement with the state government regarding the sale and maintenance of the vehicles.

According to him, there is a clause in the purchase agreement stipulating the siting of a maintenance workshop in owerri and a mobile workshop as well , by Innoson Motors, for the maintenance of the vehicles.

He noted that inspite of the fact that the company breached this agreement, the state government has been servicing the debt and still maintaining the vehicles, disclosing that more than 70% of the vehicles have already broken down.

He said both the threat by the company and resort to media trial of the government were in bad faith.

“It appears the company is out to rubbish the integrity of the government, otherwise it would not have twisted the facts of the case and published same concerning this honest business transaction , even when it failed to show the public the terms of the contract and the clauses the government breached therein. “The whole thing smacks of mischief and bad faith” Emelumba added.

He also regretted that Innoson Motors had not actually exhausted all means of negotiation before threatening the government with a law suit.

He said “the mischievous resort to media trial has confirmed that the company is more interested in compromising the integrity of the government rather than being paid its outstanding balance from the contract sum”

The commissioner disclosed that although no court process has been served it, the government will meet the company in court as soon as a process is served.

When 419 shady characters are allowed to "govern" a whole state or country, they pretty much use deceit and theft in every action.

Innoson's bitter experience with Hope Uzodinma should serve as a lesson when dealing with other rogues masquerading as governors.

Just watched a video online on the once ghetto looking EkeAwka round about now faced with sanity. I was marvelled that the ever busy, dirty and always rowdy EkeAwka roundabout has now received the attention of the govt. The uncouth roadside traders who majorly contribute a greater percentage of dirt around the EkeAwka axis weren’t in sight. Security men were also seen hanging around to ward off urchins.
Nice one Soludo

Whatever Soludo is doing now...needs to be intensified. Demolish dirty looking structures around EkeAwka and give Zik avenue a face lift. Wish commercial banks or cooperate establishments buy that axis of EkeAwka and construct buildings of fresh air there.

While attention is being given to EkeAwka..Our hardworking gov mustn’t forget to work on upper iweka, one of the most dangerous area in Onitsha. The sort of tales u get to hear from that place isn’t pleasing to the ears...it’s one which evokes fear. Traders and visitors from other states as far as the north have one or two gory tales to recount about that place called upper iweka. If u doubt me go to Twitter and facebook using the #UpperIweka and see things.

God bless Soludo

This is DMGS roundabout in Onitsha, Anambra State.

Sitting at DMGS roundabout in Onitsha Anambra state is the beautiful Statue of Nnamdi Azikiwe, better known as Zik of Africa, sitting under the Elephant Tusks peculiar to the Igbo culture, and bound by the ring of beads holding them in place.
The smaller and real ones are easily found among the male folks when you attend a traditional event or visit a traditional igbo home. About the beads... That is very popular.

The tusks and beads are cultural symbols revered by the Onitsha people, particularly, the ancient Agbalanze society.

Meanwhile about late Nnamdi Azikiwe,
He was the Governor General of Nigeria from 1960 -1963, Became Ceremonial President from 1963 - 1966, the same time Nigeria became a republic.

Noticeable efforts to beautify public spaces in the state are going on!

Meanwhile, its refreshing to see that the airport is still being developed gradually. Avio bridges installation being finalized.

God bless Gov. Soludo and former Gov Obiano wherever he is, for his courage to concieve and execute such transformational project for the state!

God bless Peter Obi for helping to conserve the funds utilized in executing the project!

Hopefully Gov. Soludo will construct a flyover bridge to make the airport road easily accessible for those coming from Onitsha along the expressway and those going to Awka from the airport road via the expressway. Something similar to the Enugu airport flyover that makes the airport road easily accessible from the Abakaliki expressway.

Even though we are allowing obi supporters run with the narrative that he kept the money that was used to build Anambra Airport for lack of projects to campaign with, however we have to make it known here that Obiano, nor any of his official has never mentioned this anywhere, infact Obi and his attack dogs Omanambala have been telling us how Obiano squandered this so called "savings" since his first tenure.

Lets all be guided before Obiano will be forced to release a statement on this like Soludo did with Sabmiller.

Very very true!

Obi left hundreds of uncompleted roads and projects which were completed by Obiano. If Obiano wanted, he could gave abandoned them all, but he didn't. People always like to discuss assets left without the huge liabilities.

But in the interest of igbo unity, it is better for Obiano to keep quiet about the whole thing. Any reasonable person cannot underestimate the contribution of Obiano to Anambra's development
