Ebubu3: You are clearly an eediot.. there is a difference between an existing SIM card plant that can manufacture more SIM cards than the country consumes and rice mills or rice farms that are not enough for the needs of the country. Engage your brains if you have any!!! |

post=115282454: Because of one plant they are banning the importation of sim cards. Soon we will buy sim card for 5k and do welcome back for 7k. How is this a good news. That's how they banned the importation of rice and today the price of rice is about 5 times the original price. Young man, stop hailing failures in power |

Re: FG Bans Sim Card Importation by pat077: 4:31pm On Aug 01, 2022 |
But what is so special in the manufacturing of sim cards that we have to depend on imported sim cards? Can't we produce anything by ourselves in this country? |
Re: FG Bans Sim Card Importation by Nobody: 4:32pm On Aug 01, 2022 |
awoderin:I don't think anything like fake Sims will occur. They don't produce the chips rather they embedd in card bodies, personalize and design. It's still not an easy task but companies in Nigeria have been on this. I really think it's a step in the right direction for tech companies in the country in the long run tho. Let's look at the bright side this time |

As if they know what they are doing. Keep banning without alternative. I hope the price of sim card will not be increased with VAT and introduction of irrelevant taxes. Confused government that believes in suffering citizens with all manners of taxes without offering any services. |

See madness after they have allowed the communication companies to import enough to the country already. Well, this is good development if and only if they stick to the policy on the importations ban on the SIM cards. Law enforcement personnel at the ports. It is over to you to make seizures and don't compromise please. |
