Except you are white skinned, Nigerians can't really tell who is a Nigerian or non Nigerian.

But some few things can give you away:

1. You obediently stay in traffic and await your turn to move instead of trying to maneuver, honk till everyones ear starts to hurt, or to find an alternative route.

2. You find it difficult to understand the very simple pidgin English that almost everyone communicate with.

3. You find it difficult to understand why roads are blocked on Saturdays when having a party.

4. You can't figure out why .’’thanks for yesterday’’ is part of greeting.


5. You don't know what ‘’ I pass my neighbour’’ generator is. Or if you once used I pass my neighbour generator but you don't know what a ‘’plug spanner’’ is.

6. You’ve never heard of 54 iweka road, Onitsha, no 1 pound road Aba, Ebinpejo lane idumota Lagos.

7. You don’t know how to dodge potholes like a professional.

8. If you have never blamed buhari for Nigeria's problems.
