The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is planning mega rallies in the United Kingdom cities for the actualization of Biafra and demanding the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu who is in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), Vanguard has learnt.

According to the information being circulated on social media on Friday, the separatist group will stage three rallies in three UK cities which are Milton Keynes, Leicester and Liverpool on August 27, September 10 and October 16, 2022 respectively.

In the e-flier titled “IPOB UK Summer Mega Rallies’, the October rally will hold at Premier League club, Liverpool’s stadium, Anfield before their match against Manchester City.

Kanu’s lawyers Ifeanyi Ejiofor and Aloy Ejimakor confirmed the story to Vanguard. Ejiofor said, “Confirmed. It’s correct.”

Ejimakor said, “Rallies like this have escalated across Europe and North America since the extraordinary rendition of Nnamdi Kanu. There was one like this in Brussels a few weeks ago and it drew thousands. The frequency of these rallies is a testimony to the determination of a people to the immediate task of releasing Kanu from detention. I think the world has taken notice”.

IPOB has been demanding that the Nigerian government should conduct a referendum to let the South East residents have a sovereign nation of Biafra, and recently the call for the unconditional release of Kanu has been added to the agitation.

While the senseless ones in Nigeria had forgotten the man spearheading the struggle, they are now chasing a mirage ambition of one Obituary candidate who couldn't run ordinary state successfully but wants to run a country.

Don’t mind those hogs!

Just watch the movie!

Once Obituary loses at the polls, they will return to Biafra.

The south east is like a beautiful bride and rest of the country can't afford to lose. If the south east was that bad, it won't take a second for the rest of Nigeria to protest for them to go, but they won't due to table manners. Eating oil /gas money won't let them do it.

It is the old boys like Buhari, Obasanjo, IBB etal who are still happily wedded to the idea of 'one Nigeria' without the pragmatic mentality to contemplate divorce.

As a young , exposed and modern individual , I don't see a problem with letting Igbos go. There is actually nothing Igbos offer that Nigeria will miss or cannot do without. That is the socio-economic truth of the matter. Igbos benefit more from Nigerian than the other way around.

At election time one is distinctly reminded how hateful and anti-Nigerian Igbos are. Every electoral choice they make is hateful and without consideration for who/what is progressive and best for all Nigerians.

Nigeria would enjoy more harmony and cohesion of purpose with Igbos gone. The entire world accepts that part of our problem as a nation is that we are too divided hosting too many ethnic groups with divergent opinions and views.

With one of our biggest ethnic groups always prepared to act as saboteurs, perpetual secessionist agitators and unpatriotic haters of Nigeria, unless put in charge everywhere, it is a losing battle.

Nigeria should convene a referendum and let Igbos go if that is what they want. I never imagined the UK out of Europe ,and even voted remain, but the brexiteers won and the UK is independent of Europe today and heaven has not fallen. Long term, and with the way the world is going, it will probably prove to be a good call for the UK.

Nigeria too should bravely do the right thing and give the biggest restive and divisive spirits in our nation the freedom they insist they want..

Nnamdi Kanu's detention has put Nigeria into a serious problem with the Kenyan government. No matter how we make this look trivial, the Buhari government knows that they are in serious trouble.

Nandi Kanu you thought was a trophy for you will destroy Nigeria. If he had died in Kenya, maybe he would have been forgotten by now, and no one will cause Nigeria of his death. But you wanted to prove a point that has landed you in trouble.

You cannot try to harm him now.
The guy has everything working for him.
I think his mission was ordained by God.

The story of Joseph in the Bible, rings a bell
He brothers conspired to kill him, but one of them decided to sell him instead of killing him.
He latter became a king over those that despised him

Igbos are the only tribe that practices one Nigeria the most. Igbos don't foolishly support an individual and there is no political godfather in the south east. The Igbos can vote any individual irrespective of where the person comes from. But an Igbo will not vote in a wicked or someone that is just after government money. If you are truthful to yourself you will know that an Igbo is not the problem of Nigeria. Igbos are the most peaceful people one can find in any community. The hatred towards the Igbos is just a black man thing; always pulling one's neighbor down. That's why there is so much wickedness in the country. The south east have everything to sustain themselves be it agriculture, tourism, oil/gas, human resources etc. This election has really exposed the tribalistic nature of those claiming to be sensible and accommodating. Igbos have supported everyone from various part of the country even when the choices were among funny characters. But this time that the choices are among the good, bad and ugly and fortunately the good one is of Igbo tribe, you all now see it as a tribal thing. It's only kids and unexposed persons that are easily be deceived by the tag of Igbos being hateful. Please don't equate the vocal nature of Igbos as being hateful. If a foreigner get to know that some people still choose to support 1999 kind of politicians in this modern time, they will laugh at us. If truely you guys feel Igbos are the problem of the country and not the killer herdsmen or bandits, then you guys should organize a one million man match to plead with the authorities to let the south east have their own country. Them and the rest of the country can be good neighbors.

The story of Joseph rings bell

Abeg shut up. Destroy Nigeria my foot. What Kanu preaches and is about is not godly. Yet we know you people historically have no problem following evil mad men to then proclaim them godly messiahs. Like Kaduna Nzeogwu, Ojukwu etal.

Buhari is distracted, slow, indecisive, gradual and conservative. Otherwise Kanu will have been convicted by now, serving a lifetime jail sentence, and nothing will happen. If OBJ was President the fate of Kanu would be decisive and delivered long ago.

I don't know when you people will accept you're not special and that the charlatans you choose to make leaders and queue behind blindly are very flawed and likely only to ever lead you astray and let you down.

Have you not had enough examples from Azikiwe to Kaduna Nzeogwu and then Ojukwu? I.e leaders who only brought you misery and regression in the long term?

Nzeogwu began the coup and counter-coup culture that ruined the early nationhood of Nigeria and set us up to fail.

Ojukwu led millions of Igbos to their uneccassary death insisting Igbos must leave Nigeria even if it cost them many lives. Yet he went back to cheaply and treacherously contest to lead Nigeria in future after the war.

You are making the same mistake today with Kanu, Ekpa and whoever is coming in future to harmonise and exploit the hate in your heart for other Nigerians.
You people will never learn as long as hate of others is the main thing guiding your thoughts and actions.

Note that Kanu is already singing a different tune in prison to get himself freed or, at worst, a lighter sentence. Like Ojukwu like Kanu. Pathetic those are the people you proclaim as your 'messiahs'.

Let me guess. You practice 'one Nigeria' the most because your in every corner of our nation feathering your own private nests?

Your first sentence marks you out as someone into self-deceit. Obvious the rest of your utterances will be driven by the typically warped and self-decietful outlook most Igbos view everything with to then proclaim themselves saintly or the victims of others.

Shebi your apprentice system you practice in every single nation of Nigeria, that excludes all other Nigerians, is a great tool for the promotion of "one Nigeria".

You people are irredeemably delusional.

Freedom of protest no longer exists in Nigeria

So I thank our brothers who are in the UK and other countries in Europe where genuine democracy is being practiced, for staging these protests.

Self determination is a recognised right world wide, but in Nigeria they say it is terrorism

We Igbos must be given the right to decide for our selves if we want to be part of Nigeria or not

Guy you funny. Igbos are the true definition of one Nigeria. Is it not your fellow Nigerians that alway say Igbos will never be president, does that statement sound lovely? How many of you guys like to travel to the south east? Too much of Nigerian movies have created a bad impression about the east. I have seen a lot of none Igbos serving their Igbo masters in various market. The issue of hatred is mostly done by other tribes towards the Igbos, that's just the fact. In your community are Igbos the ones giving you all sleepless night? are Igbos making it difficult for farmers to go farm? are Igbos making it difficult for travelers to travel peaceful? You guys don't really like the Igbos for no reason. On a normal day the south east suppose to be a country of their own because they all share similar culture. Just like the northern states are more closer and friendly with Niger Republic, Chad etc. Do you think Isreal and Palestine will ever like each other? If the suspicion amongst ourselves is so deep, then the best way is for everyone to go their separate ways and practice what they feel is OK with them. It's not that difficult, but due to table manners no one is talking about it. If two cultures are of opposite, especially in this our African settings it will be difficult for them to move along.
