According to the interview the king of Nnewi, Igwe Orizu, granted BBC Igbo, 'Edo' is the ancient Oracle situated close to "Nkwo Nnewi market" that Nnewi People used to worship before Christianity came. Thats why Nnewi is also known as "Ana-Edo"(Land of Edo) Although very few Nnewi People still worship Edo, the Oracle is still a strong symbol of Nnewi culture, hence the Edo festival 8 Likes |
