Life after death is still a mystery to mankind. Forget what you read and go through in books. They are all theoretical approaches to these mysteries.

There are people among the living who had experienced the afterlife . They have been on the other side and then return. So, we can no longer say that life after death is a mystery

The idea I believe is that "angels" in "heaven" do not have free-will and have not experienced reality in a holistic way, given that they inhabit only goodness and light. And that human spirits are different as they experience both good and evil, light and darkness, and thus when they arise from the material world and return to their source they inevitably possess certain qualities which no other beings would possess.

The foregoing is my understanding of why certain religionists believe humans are special in the spiritual scheme of things in relation to "heaven" - please take note that I do not express it as my personal belief or creed.

There are some traditions - such as the Grail Movement - who try to cover this problem by saying that Lucifer only rebelled when he was at a "great distance" from th light pressure of the presence of God. I do not buy this either.

The unfortunate thing is religious people would rather attack and call one names instead of attempting an answer to the questions.
The grail narrative is still another lies, given the numbers of angels who bought lucifer idea... And God's omnipresent title.

The original books had gone through a lot of modifications from different centuries/civilization.
In fact the whole truth has been conceded, I doubt those books were anything God inspiration.
