It will be a private property when purchased, obviously it will cost more to renovate than the purchase price but considering I won't have to deal with neighbors and have the entire village to myself, I will still gladly go for it.

Wait...there is a catch somewhere....

Something tells me that they bought the village with the understanding that they are liable for any repairs to be done in the village...which means at the end, they could spend more on renovations...especially since they want to turn it into a hotel...meaning standars, standards!,,.......than they did originally buying it.

There are many villages in Italy for example, that cost one euro....and once you buy the place, you are stuck with the renovation costs.

I pity the copule. They should have kept saving for the studio flat...or house in the UK. At least, bran new ouse....better than renovating some shack that was built before their grandparents were even thought about.....
