It is a mystery why drivers in the USA think they can flee from the police when the eye-in-the-sky helicopter is ever ready to follow fleeing felons' vehicles to the ends of the Earth, or until they run out of fuel, whichever comes first.

The video posted a few years ago on youtube shows the violent and blood-soaked showdown that witnessed a driver leap out of his disabled car with a handgun, and then exchange accurate fire with a police officer, whose injury was almost as serious as that sustained by the fleeing gunman.

More than anything else, this footage illustrates the breathtaking technical advances in the image clarity of police helicopter cameras that now enable airborne officers to see in high-definition detail what is going on inside fast-moving cars during a pursuit. In this case, the police helicopter observer was able to warn the pursuing patrol officer on the road down below, that the suspect was reaching for a gun under his seat, even as he attempted to bring his crippled car to a stop so as to engage the police in a do-or-die shootout.

What of blacks that didn't have gun but were killed all the same. Do you think the outcome would be the same if the shooter was a black man.

Anyone who pulls a gun on a cop is going to get shot. The only uncertainty is whether they will live, or die after getting shot. They will most certainly be shot down, regardless of race. The man who tried to shoot his way past that police officer in this video clip later died in the hospital.

Nigeria should import large numbers of cheap hobby-grade drones to follow suspects, rather than investing in highly expensive police helicopters. Long-range fixed-wing drones at higher altitudes can operate alongside low-flying camera quadcopters working in relays along any direction that the suspects choose to flee. Drone operators can relay details of where suspects are heading in real time to police cars on the ground.

grin The dark side would bring a whole police station down and leave fulfilled. Burn and turn it into ruins. Bloodily execute men and women of black and roast them in the surging flames.

And when they struck a military base, the weak whom some months passed out of the Depot gets gunned down, the Generals among shouts stupid orders, and the strong takes off discarding their camouflage and oaths along.

At check points, they force and pump hot leads into their pot bellies and make them all shout, " wayoo Allah!."

When they invaded their defense academy all the men there were turned into crying babies. First, they vehemently denied but days later owned up and said, it was only three soldiers that were killed. Like the number isn't significant.

Even in their Maximum prison they've no CCTV to capture what really went down. "Wayoo Allah" covers everything.

On the land these men don't chase the other men because they've got no fuel in their vehicles.

Why then I ask, should we dream that one-day Nigeria airborne police would circle a crime scene and pursue them till they enter ant holes?

The use of drones can enable Nigerian law enforcement to make up for shortfalls in their equipment, capabilities, and morale. Multi-million dollar police helicopters such as the one shown in this video clip are no longer essential for crime detection BECAUSE much cheaper hobby-grade drones are now sold over the counter with ultra-high definition cameras capable of zooming in for closeup views from great distances.

That eye in the sky is the most effective tool at the disposal of law enforcement, and by at least initially using drones rather than manned helicopters, the meager law enforcement resources available in developing countries like Nigeria can be deployed to much greater effect, thanks to the presence of cheap aerial surveillance platforms like the Mavic Pro 2 Zoom, that retails used for $1,000 USD, as opposed to the 3.7 million dollar price tag on a 1996 Bell 412 helicopter of the type currently in use by the Nigerian police.

This first link is for a 1996 Bell 212 helicopter priced at 3.7 million dollars

https://www.trade-a-plane.com/search?category_level1=Turbine+Helicopters&make=BELL&model=212&listing_id=988322&s-type=aircraft

This second link is a typical eBay ad for a used Mavic Pro 2 Zoom drone selling in this case for $950 USD

https://www.ebay.com/itm/155108534117?epid=10026969286&hash=item241d306765:g:nYYAAOSwM9hi63Vr

From the above prices for a used helicopter and a used drone with a zoom camera, arithmetic tells us that for the price of ONE police helicopter bought used, a whopping 3,800 slightly used surveillance drones can be acquired. The price advantage of buying drones instead of manned helicopters should be a significant factor for any law enforcement agency looking to improve its aerial surveillance capabilities.

By the time the camera and night vision equipment is added to the cost of this particular police helicopter, the final price tag will climb up to 5 million dollars as a conservative figure. The $950 drone, however, is already equipped with a superb zoom camera that is ready to go to work right away.

Once that gun was aimed at the policeman, race no longer mattered. The shooter had to be stopped, and he was brought down despite his own wounding of the officer. The suspect reportedly died later in hospital.

You need quality surveillance solutions with proper and regular maintenance to achieve reduced security issues.

CCTV Cameras with Rechargeable Batteries or 4G SIM Card Port + Solar Panel are available for round-the-clock efficiency

Worry less about Power Outage.

That cop clearly had no military training. He should have kept behind his car and awaited backup. The vehicle he was chasing was disabled and forced to stop. The perpetrator had nowhere to escape because backup police vehicles surrounded the scene.

If you watch the clip carefully you will see that the officer whose shot hit the gunman was a police rifleman who was not visible in the picture frame until after the suspect went down. The policeman who got hit in the arm most likely missed with all his own return fire completely, only to be saved by his colleague wielding an AR-15 positioned behind the suspect's disabled car. Still and all that was a tricky shot even for a rifle because there were vehicles in all directions.

Our own police Helicopter is to transport or escort VIP’s. It’s a taboo to use it in searching for kidnappers and criminals.
