Since the release of the iPhone X in 2017, one of the most frequently requested iOS features from consumers has been restored by Apple this week: the ability to view your battery % right in the status bar.

Apple has prevented customers from seeing their battery percentage in the status bar since the release of the iPhone X with the notch, forcing them to scroll down into Control Center to get a quick glimpse at their current energy level.

That will change when iOS 16 is released in a few weeks. A new setting in iOS 16’s fifth developer beta enables users to constantly see the battery level in the status bar.

The battery glyph and percentage turn yellow when Low Power Mode is activated, and when the battery is running low, they turn red. Your iPhone turns green as it charges. On the Lock Screen as well as the rest of the system, the battery level is displayed in the status bar.

Since the release of the iPhone X, every flagship model has featured a notch, but not all owners will be able to use the new feature.

The following iPhones will have the option to show the battery level right in the status bar:

The battery % option is not available on any other iPhone, including the smaller iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 11, or the iPhone XR. Apple may opt to add more iPhones to the list later given that iOS 16 is still under beta testing.so we’ll have to wait and see.

While it’s not entirely clear why Apple has chosen to limit the availability of this feature, it may be due to space constraints on the smaller displays.

Apple and their crazy way sha, what's the big deal in displaying battery percentage, a future that 2006 android phone can boast as even restricting to some phone, this is a very simple setting, just because they are getting away with some money things, who put a notch to high ends phone in 2022
