Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvVBALmQDG0 The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has decried the prolonged strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), boasting that such can not happen under his watch. Speaking at the commemoration of this year’s International youth Day in Abuja on Friday, Atiku said his father did not want him to go to school, but he was able to embrace education up till university level. Atiku said the most important and fundamental rights of any youth is education, saying “I take very strong exception to the strike by ASUU and the inability of the government to resolve that crisis. It will never happen under a PDP government or under my administration when I am elected.” Atiku, who said he was an investor in the education sector, added that it is the responsibility of any responsible government to make sure that right is given to every Nigerian every youth in this country. https://dailytrust.com/ASUU-strike-such-cant-happen-under-my-watch-says-atiku

ASUU was on strike for close to 9months when he was the VP. It was during the time of the strike that he opened his private University in Yola It was on record. From 1999 when Atiku was in govt till 2007 when he left, ASUU went on strike for 6 times. Obi was a Gov in Anambra, when the state chapter of ASUU in Anambra also went on strike for 6 months Both Atilku and Obi are nothing but habitual serial liars |

I was s university student in 2003 when ASUU went on strike for 6 months. Atiku was the Vice President as at that time. |

Afamed:One, ASUU was on strike, he opened his own private University to cash out, and didn't solve the problem. Afamed:Yes, and under Buhari, your leader, ASUU has been on srtrike for longer. You guys should stop using ASUU strike to score political points, and tell your Buhari to improve university funding by either increasing fees, widening the tax base and diversifying the economy....or admit that the problem is beyond them, so that Nigerians can choose a different party. ASUU goes on strike because universities are badly funded...and they are badly funded because we think we can get 50000000 naira educaiton from 50000 naira fees. Like how? |
