TenQ:I accused of lying which you did, and it was about what you said i said about “faith” and not about “dna” Are you confused? I accused you of lying when you claimed i said faith means “ faith is mindless believing”. How did “dna” matter enter? Show me where I accused you of lying about DNA I didn’t create the parachute, if i packed it my self that doesn’t mean it won’t fail. And you said in a plane, do passengers pack their parachute themselves on planes? You are lost. Little faith verses great faith. These Are english words. People have faith(little and great) on players, teams that they even bet on them. I think you should leave out your indoctrination and take these words as mere words and not be delusional about it LOL ![]() |

TenQ:You should first understand what you are looking for, so as not to search aimlessly. Leave out your religion indoctrination and learn. “A miracle is generally defined, according to the etymology of the word—it comes from the Greek thaumasion and the Latin miraculum—as that which causes wonder and astonishment, being extraordinary in itself and amazing or inexplicable by normal standards.” Which Doctrine are you? Bwahahahah |

Maynman:Faith is meaningless isn't it? Faith is not just BELIEVING, it is TRUSTING in the INTEGRITY of a PERSON or SYSTEM. Faith is NOT being BLESSED or being PROTECTED or anything positive or negative. Faith is knowing that in LIFE or in DEATH, God has got you covered! That is why disciples of Jesus could face death with joy! You have learned some bad stuff while you were a Christian from your pastors: these are the things that made you frail! Sorry! I have to go: spent too much time on NL! Cheers!! |
| Re: Do You Fake Being A Christian As An Atheist In Nigeria? by Maynman: 8:28pm On Aug 14, 2022 |
TenQ:who said faith is meaningless? You? If you believe someone, don’t you automatically trust them? Can you believe a thing and still not trust it? These are basic English man! See what religion is doing to you! The definition of faith is clear, you don’t have to quote random books from UNKNOWN AUTHORS. Your shepherd(pastor) have feed you with yahweh stuff that’s why you are a indoctrinated sheep now, that can’t even understand simple English words without adding his indoctrination mindset. It’s a pity! Your religion thrives on ignorance Take care, yahweh worshipper.

TenQ:If your scientific knowledge has told you that something/someone mysterious has set off the ball of the universe rolling, then is it the same science that has made you conclude that this mysterious something is an 'he' and not a she or it? You have been using the personal pronoun,he, to describe this mysterious something. How do you know it is an he? Have you seen this 'he' before? If one is going to agree with you that this mysterious something is an he, then it would be interesting to know what has created the body of this he if you think it has one.Did this he create or caused his own body and from what material? Please don't quote the Bible in your reply. Stick to the science you have been using all along as it would not make any sense at this point to quote any religious text to prove that this mysterious something is an ,he or whatever The re some religious groups who have argued that it is an "it" and not an 'he' that has set the ball of the universe rolling, and they can equally use the same argument as yours to prove this by simply substituting 'it' for 'he' wherever you have used it and it wouldn't make any difference. So how did this mysterious something became an 'he' for you. |

If you still thrust when your bitch gives the "oh her god " sound then you are prolly an agnostics. There is no need being confrontational as an atheist just keep doing your thing except you are a writer. There are different categories of people in which there exist no standard. |

Emodeee:Lol , So you think we won't have a "Civilized" or "law abiding" or "morally upright" populace or society if there was no such thing as religion? Can you list out any good religion has done for humanity? If somehow you can, list out the evil atrocities religion has has done to humanity since its inception. Then weigh both on a scale and let us know your observation. |

Jennygold111:I was born into a Christian family . But grew up to become an atheist . I have read the Bible indeptly. Read the Quran, Hindu scriptures, and other religious literature out of curiosity to discover the true religion/God. And I have come to realise that mythology and mysticism shaped religion . God is a mirage . But, still I identify myself as a christian in my environment [Eastern Nigeria] Cuz, people see me as being weird for claiming that there is no God. It is only few educated people that do understand my points. Perhaps, their iQ is not operating in same level as mine. To avoid being discriminated and harassed by the majority of the religious population. You simlpy identify yourself as a Christian or a Moslem. It is an adaptation for survival. Most religious people are psychopaths, extremists. |

crows2ravens:Reasonable to some extent. In other words, simple events/stories were exaggerated to the extent that they got out of proportion and they became myths\legends. |

ThinkSmarter:What is the WORK or FRUIT of a Christian family as assigned by the founder of Christianity (Jesus Christ)? Because each religion has their FRUIT or WORK they must do to prove that they truly believe /trust their deities. So can you explain the WORK or FRUIT of faith in Christ Jesus? ![]() |
| Re: Do You Fake Being A Christian As An Atheist In Nigeria? by ThinkSmarter: 12:43am On Aug 15, 2022 |
MaxInDHouse:I can't becuz, the story of God/Allah in the scriptures are not convincing. I see the stories as a mere human clever inventions in their bid to answer complex questions about our planet/existence. I also see Jesus as an enlightened human, the way Sadhauta Gautama (Buddha) was. Though, i suspect, the Roman authority that hijacked Christian religion deliberately refurbished Jesus' story to make him Divine and a symbol of their organised religion. Hope, u did notice that Jesus was not revered by the Jews/Judaism, even to this day? |

TenQ:Wonderful analogy. This is something we can both agree on. Absence of evidence is not necessarily evidence of absence. Sure. But at the same time, you would agree with me that it would be illogical for someone to also say that the bacteria has a specific weight, without actually measuring it. The fact that we haven't observed an uncaused first cause.. due to our scientific limitations.. doesn't mean it can't exist. But for someone to lay a claim to something like that, there needs to at least be some sort of reasonable proof to consider.. which brings me to your logical conclusion which i will adress later on. 2. If God is physically measurable, it means that He is subject to the laws of physics and he is made up of Matter. This mean that such cannot be the creator of matter and the laws that govern matter interaction. The question of what God is supposed to be made of, is another debate entirely. But i get your point. It would be illogical for a first cause to be restricted by or subject to any laws at all. Because if it were, then we would need a cause for those laws.. and we'll end up with a logical inconsistency. In that case.. I'll simply say i don't know. I like to think of a first cause as energy. We can measure energy.. but as far as laws go.. the only laws we have governing it, is that it can neither be created nor destroyed. Or could a God be made up of a different type of substance? Something that's not quite matter or energy but not quite nothing as well? I don't know. In such a case.. it would be impossible to measure it as you said. But i think for something to have an effect on matter.. or at least energy.. which seems to be the basic substance in the universe.. it too.. must be made up of something similar to it. Causes we've observed are always in one way related to their effect. I'm not saying a first cause must be physical matter.. afterall.. physical matter makes up a small percentage of our observable universe. I'm saying whatever a first cause is.. has to be in some way related to the effect we see today. Maybe my energy.. or another type of substance related to our universe. Currently.. we know very little.. and have very primitive equipment.. to be able to say we can measure the nature of the first cause or not. 3. Logic is very simpleI think we're basically saying the same thing lol. Based on our current knowledge... both premises follow.. as does the conclusion. And it would be illogical for me to try to attack the premises based on knowledge we don't yet have. So in that sense... Yes.. the conclusion is correct. What i was trying to say was that.. due to the our current limited knowledge.. we may be making a mistake with the entire deductive method.. Let me give an example with the sun rotation from the perspective of a layman back in the 12th century or something A: The sun traces a semicircular path from the east to the west every day B: It is scientifically and logically impossible for the sun to magically disappear from the west and appear again in the east each morning. Conclusion: The sun revolves around the earth This is a rough deduction.. but i hope you get my point. This logical process is completely oblivious to the fact that the earth itself does or can even rotate. It assumes the earth for some reason stands still. I'm not denying your logical conclusion. I was just trying to say that we know very little about our earliest observable cause.. which is the big bang.. and due to that.. we may be making a mistake with the idea of what a cause can be. but like i said earlier.. I'm willing to grant the concept of an uncaused first cause I think this is getting a little long.. so I'll try to break it into 2 parts |

Jennygold111:Do you mean agnostic, a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God ? If yes, I think it depends on the society. For example, if one lives in a society that ties financial independence to religion, then Yes, most of us will act like christians. However, If one ia financially independent and is in a society that separates religion from the basic way of life, then No. once one get financial independence, one most likely will begin to make decisions that suit them and not the spciety |

ThinkSmarter:Is this your PRESENT resolution or what you were TAUGHT as a child? I asked you the first question because most of you were never Christians at all as you have no idea what being a Christian means. Note how many born by churchy parents often claim they are Christians but according to the man Jesus it's not just by attending religious services in buildings called or labelled "church" that makes one a Christian neither is being virtuous a Christian, NO! CHRISTIANITY is like a movement with a specific assignment it's those PRACTICING or DOING the assigned job that are Christians not Churchgoers. Even during the time Jesus walked the earth he never established Christianity with just coming to listen to sermons, his sermons were to teach his listeners about the New Covenant that'll soon ensue when the old covenant becomes obsolete. Jeremiah 31:31-34 Christianity began after Jesus was no longer with his disciples and the spirit of God anointed about 120 Jews at Pentecost {Act 2:1-11} they began preaching and teaching all what Jesus taught them from house to house and door to door. Matthew 10:11-13 That's what inhabitants of Antioch noticed before calling them "CHRISTIANS" Act 11:26 So it's only those doing the assigned job {Matthew 28:19-20} that are Christians not Churchgoers listening to Sunday Sunday sermons! |
