The Sandman 8/10

With a pretty interesting plot, an intriguing cast of characters, great dialogue for the most part, gorgeous cinematography and good music, The Sandman was well on its way to being one of the best shows of the year. But like the biblical statue with feet made partly out of iron and clay which do not mix, it's last few episodes watered down its quality a little bit.

First things first, it was pretty obvious Neil Gaiman was heavily involved in the production for the most part, especially with the panel to screen conversions we got in a lot of places and the near pinpoint casting.

Tom Sturridge joins the list of people who it feels like they were born to play some specific characters, embodying the character both in physical looks and mannerisms. Boyd Holbrook, a really good actor who does not get enough chances to shine, does so here as The Corinthian. Jenna Coleman, Gwendoline Christie and Kirby Howell-Baptiste impress in their roles as Constantine, Lucifer and Death, respectively. David Thewlis delivers what is possibly the best performance in the show as John Dee.

The costume, set design and cinematography team also did an amazing job of bringing the world to life.

The writing team though, it felt like the folks who wrote the first 6 episodes went on a break and then a different team did the rest. If it were its own show, the last 4 episodes are by no means bad, the tone and pacing just clashes with the earlier episodes and takes the viewer out of the storytelling experience a bit.

All in all, it was a great first season for The Sandman. Looking forward to the next season and hoping they don't allow the writers of the last episodes back this time.

David Thewlis as "John Dee" was my favorite performance among the cast. Man seems to be playing the same creepy role in all his performances and he nails it everytime.

I think he did more than nail it in this one. He knocked it out of the park. And to think he was only in 3 episodes.

You are welcome.
Sex life of college girls is one of the shows i really related with, it's like watching real life college drama, like it's so real.
Sex life of college girls is what a reality show should be all about without the scripts.

Season two will be out this year, i can't wait for it.
You will enjoy Euphoria too but not as much as sex life of college girls.
Euphoria won't make you laugh like sex life of college girls but it's a good show nonetheless.
Just finished euphoria now, good show, great soundtracks. Can as well relate, battling an addiction myself. Thanks.

Leland is a DEMON aswear. I have no words.

I can't wait for Kirsten's husband to get his memory back. It's going to be brutal.

Would have loved Grace Ling to get more screen time.

Evil already renewed for fourth season.

This show Five Days at Memorial from AppleTV is looking good. Based on a true story. I usually don't do medical series, but this is kinda different cos it deals with how the hospital deals with hurricane Katrina.
