With the impression APC is giving Nigeria, it will be near impossible for someone who is not from the major ethnic group to become the president of Nigeria. They will be switching it between Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba.

We can call the PDP anything, but they never promoted this. That explains why Jonathan, a man from the minority, could even be the president.

Nigeria is a secular and egalitarian society for a reason. Every tribe deserves to produce the president of the country. It gives sense of belonging and maintains peace in a multiethnic society.

This is one of the peculiarities of democracy; the majority will always have their way but minority their say. It happens everywhere the US kind of politics is practiced. As a white kid of Europe caucasian descent, you have far more chance to be an American President than an African American or latino.
Same as India and even UK. Truss is likely to get elected over Rishi Sunak for same reason because the majority will have their way.

In Nigeria, the 3 major tribes are Hausa, Yoruba and Fulani. Any child from those 3 super tribes has more prospect of becoming Nigerian President than other tribes for as long as it is democracy which we all agreed to adopt.

Ever since Obi’s Train to presidency started moving. All evil Politicians irrespective of their tribe or religion started manifesting and made me realize that you see most of these politicians know what they are all doing. They know each other, work with each other whether they are from different political parties or not and all of them loot with each other. They are doing everything they can to stop Obi and Datti because they know the end of eating national cake is near for them all.

Since you trust PDP and have been labouring for them for so long, why didn’t PDP give the presidential ticket to Obi or Wike?
They still took it back to the North even after Buhari’s 8 years. The North can rule forever as far as PDP is concerned, eh?
Egalitarian society my foot….keep deceiving yourself!

That is his own personal opinion.
This guy won due to the Igbo population in Oshodi Isolo. He defeated Ladi Ajomale of APC and he eventually defected to APC from PDP to lick their ass but now he has been refused a return ticket so he is talking nonsense, just trying to please Tinubu.

He is married to a Yoruba woman so seen and promoted as a son-in-law. His predecessor was a Yoruba woman married to a Non-Yoruba.

The current HOR is Engr Ganiyu Johnson, a former Director of Works, Lagos State Govt.

Only he is the only non-Yoruba left and he is in Alausa not to represent the indigenes in Abuja. The Yoruba obviously read your kind of comments and chose never to have a 'short one' in Abuja since he is not Yoruba and over there in Abuja, there maybe voting along tribal lines wink

It's either you never came to Lagos till after Tinubu become governor in 99 or you were still in nursery school then so you didn't know how lovely Lagos was.

That is the only explanation for your myopic writeup.

Realist12:
Of course, Tinubu can be said to have governed a mini Nigeria which is Lagos , he assimilated everyone and tribe into the system making them stake holders. Lagos is successful and peaceful, he made a Lagos for all ..... sentiments asides he's the most competent man, when we talk about Tinubu we talk about past initiatives and policies , we talk about his mentees performance at their elected or selected offices , we talk about Activism and selflessness for our democracy, we talk about hardwork and productivity, Lagos today is talking about the future of Nigeria in commerce, Arts and entertainment, real estates , tourism infact every aspect of growth . When people talk about Obi's perfomance i can't help but chuckle, Atiku is abstract.
Tinubu is a complete package, administratively, politically, track record, mentorship , and visions. Unlike those that jump from party to party and the other trying to enter through the back door through endsars revolt which we all know hasn't done his homework, just like a fake product but shiny. Both other candidates will just be a set back for Nigeria

Hahaha.....Your comment alone gave you away as not familiar with Lagos before Asiwaju took over. Real Lagosians know the sacrifices Asiwaju made and that is why he is being rewarded today.
From the forgone filth to the bomb blasts to the robberies all over whole streets and communities to incessant tribal wars in Idi araba to Agege, amongst many untoward events pre-1999, Asiwaju brought back the glory of my city. I am so so proud of him and pray that God bless him.

Not true. The same white you alluded to never gave a black man the US presidency for centuries! This is democracy. The majority will have their way! One good thing is that no Yoruba or Fulani or Hausa can be your Governor. Even in the states and LG, same majority are dominating so be fair and honest.

Shut up first.
Same PDP gave Atiku its ticket despite that Buhari is completing 8 years.

Jonathan was a president of accidental development. If not, he wouldn't be president.

And in democracy, it's mostly by population size and not by who makes the loudest noise. Obi Liar

I am not sure you understand me sir. Leave the resentment and emotion out and look at how Asiwaju has built his political area and each opportunity to serve as a step towards his ultimate ambition to be the President of Nigeria and you will learn something about focused leadership and self discipline.
By the time he becomes the President, that will be the first time we have elected a President who has gone through the Senate Legislature and Executive President.
The previous offices are means to the end of becoming the president some day. He took each of them with the seriousness it deserves that it makes no sense to even suggest he gives it to anyone who did not go through the toils with him even after he has severally helped to build others.

WE ARE IGBOS

We have bought every piece of land in tommorow.
The future is now our tenant.
We're men caught in seasonal migrations-
from wealth to greater wealth.
We are a Igbos.
The heirs of here & the hereafter.

It's ok if we frighten you; we also frighten fear.
For like air we are everywhere-
ask the sun where he spent the night
and the night before last.
We are igbos-the eagles nesting in a rising sun.
We're shrubs that grow in rocky cracks..we hunt in pacts.
We're Igbos-the lush green glow of South East /South south heaven.

In the human sea we rarely froth, we are salt
less is best for the broth.
Don't flood your land to sink us-for we will rise.
We're a crop for export,gold coins-always in fashion.
We're Igbos-infinite acres of greatness .
Pardon the noise, the heart can't beat in whispers.
The sky's a rented canopy-we're the event.
We are the sea, we visit all shores.
we are merchants-we've traded with Death.
We are igbos-the soul of the earth.
Proudly Onye Igbo.
