This will put more money in the hands of government..... TO DO WHAT WITH IT.
Remember it is the common man paying oh.
Remove subsidy and the airports will completely close. No one will afford to travel as inflation will surely hit 30 to 40%.

Do they trust the government to spend the money well, particularly to their benefit.
Do they control the way the government spends presently.
Look at the big budget expenditure, the civil service.... how many people does it employ..... but that is where the subsidy money will go.
Look at the big budget projects, the rail system.... how many people does it carry or employ..... but that is where the subsidy money will go.
Will it pay for better education?.... uncertain, because government appears no to want to honour the agreement of ASUU, etc.
Will it pay for better social services.... uncertain, because government has not accounted for what it has spent so far.
Will it pay for better healthcare..... uncertain, because government has not accounted for the huge pandemic resources received and spent.

That is the problem.
We have descended into a bad economy we the citizens did not directly contribute towards destroying so no one is prepared to contribute by sacrifice to rebuilding. Give them more money and more cars will be given to Niger Republic they say. This government does not understand that it has to walk the talk to get everyone in line to help it.
