I was depressed for the better half of my year 200l to 400l. I still wonder how I got through that impossible phase.

Now I slip in and out of depression, but I haven't found a way to manage it properly.

How do you manage depression?

Promote vawulence among 2 people to entertain myself

God forbid depression. Though any time I feel downcast, I try to encourage myself with the word of God.

I look online for available christian prayer meetings ( on days my denomination is not having any) and church services to attend so I can be encouraged through the word of God from his servant and ministers.

I also listen to christian songs and then trip myself to any cool spot just to change environment for that moment and possibly treat myself to something nice and sumptuous

Nothing oh my brother. Sometimes u reason to end things but when u remember say na person born u, u go forget am.

My latest trick is to be angry at everything. It has saved me more times than I can count.

I used to think people who are jobless or don't have money are the people who find themselves in a depressed situation, but this country now is really making almost every one depressed...

What I do when I want to find myself in that situation is just to pick up my daughters pictures and video while playing, off the depression don disappear....

I just go to a lounge close to my house to listen to some good music and have some drinks (non-alcoholic)

OP it is very simple. Just start jogging on the mornings you feel confused and uninspired to do anything that day, that's how it normally begins. Adopt a very active and healthy lifestyle and avoid masturbation. Me have sha been battling with stopping weed, but most times when I feel uninspired and forget the advise I gave u up there, when I smoke in the morning I tend to always fall back to sync. If there is any strategy anyone can offer me in quitting weed I will be forever grateful.

I unwind through music forget my worries first. Then after that commit em unto God if I no pass my problems God pass them.

Don’t try to do too much. Try to know the cause of your depression first, then you can start from there

I pray to God. I hardly feel depressed but whenever it strikes, something big ,.like some breakthrough is around the corner. It's my personal experience.

Maybe those committing suicide shouldn't have dared. Cos depression is a trick from the devil, to deprive people of the lurking breakthrough.

There's a young girl in my neighbourhood who had written Cambridge 2 times some years back. She failed while those she taught passed excellently. She attempted suicide by drinking hypo. She's already foaming when they noticed it and rushed her to the hospital. It was while she was on sick bed they told her she had 3As in her 3rd Cambridge attempt. She said she didn't want to see another bad result, after she's been told that their result had been released. So, she wanted to end it. She's in a medical shool in one of the leading UK universities now, even won a scholarship into the school 2019.
