Obasanjo will welcome anybody that visits him but that doesn't change his stand on who he endorses.
Obasanjo respected Awolowo a lot more, but we all knew how Shagari won in 1979.
Obasanjo has a record of hating politicians who fed fat on public money, because even as a two-time head of state/president he doesn't have as much money to throw around as Tinubu does.
Remember the cases of Osuji, Tafa Balogun, Alamesiegha, Dariye, Fayose, Ladoja, Ibori, Bode George, Grange, etc. etc. Bat was smart enough to pocket the Lagos state assembly, else OBJ would have had him impeached and convicted. You can be sure OBJ has not forgotten all that. You all see how he blocked Atiku's chances at every turn, and one major reason was perceived corruption.
