It was during one of the fuel scarcity in GEJ tenure, public vehicles were scarce, I've waited for long at bus stop, a bus eventually stopped in my rear. I was going to hopp in but was stopped by the bus conductor. He in lie allowed another passenger coming behind me to occupy the vacant seat, I was really annoyed and disturbed for the deprivation. I waited for another and was lucky to get one in due time, we moved for just 5 minutes and met this bus (the one that denied me a chance) had lost his break and got spill over some barricade iron. I was really surprised at the view, many people at the entrance of the door were seriously injured. I could only stand and watch with my wide opened mouth. Ofcourse we live to die sometimes, but death can be very selective at times

The engine of the okada was still on, so, it dragged us a bit on the road. We thank God no car was coming.

I have had 3 near death experience.
I laugh whenever I think about them.
I just imagine that one day none of us will be here.

Had a head-on collision while doing a bungling overtake early morning. Both cars were completely smashed in half. Yet we both came out wondering what happened, as if we had just woken up from a nightmare. Not a single scratch on my body and hers. This was truly a miracle of my life. Whoever says there’s no God must be mad. No other thing saved me except God. Be kind to people and give alms to poor people, you will be saved from calamity. You won’t die a violent death.

In 2007, everyone has dispersed after the completion of our family meeting in Bode Ibadan (where we lived then). My dad and I was changing the faded posters of Prof Adedoja (of action congress) who is a contestant of Oyo Guber election (he was my dad's fav). The house is by the roadside and suddenly, we heard tyres screeching. Hoodlums alighted from the bus and started shooting sporadically.
Before they could get to us, we both fled but they destroyed his car parked outside, made their way into the house, broke all the bottles used for the meeting and met my mum in her room sleeping. She was stabbed multiple times in the head and they thought she had died.
Today, the scars tells the story.
The place is only about 1km to Baba Adedibu's house and everyone could easily guess who the assailants are.
We made headline in newspapers but more importantly, we are alive
