What's smart about his actions? He's just vindicating Atiku for not choosing him as VP.

Wike is a local champion. He's spent the past 7 years terrorizing Rivers people, so he gained an inflated view of himself. In his mind, he's the most important party member... But yet he couldn't win primaries.

He cannot decamp, and everybody knows this. Which makes all his overtures childish, as if anyone seriously thinks he'll join another party.

PDP is bigger than Wike. Even in Rivers State where he's king, he doesn't have enough goodwill to be influential beyond his tenure.

Hitherto proud Nigeria is now a laughing stock even amongst African countries because of the rapacious disposition of these two evil parties.

To me, what am seeing is that Wike wants to be President, Atiku is to serve for a term (not too sure), Okowa that is not the choice of Wike is made VP, and PDP chairman that worked for and with Atiku will still work for Okowa ticket 2027 (if Atiku does 1 term).

So Wike wants his own party chairman who will give him his Presidential ticket in 2027. I see Wike do what Tinubu did to APC. "It is my Turn"

Wike has seen the future that if he doesn't act now his Presidential Ambition will be denied. He need his Allies to be in the Party National Team.
