IMPEACHMENT NOTICE ON THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF EDO STATE, RT. HON COMRADE PHILIP SHAIBU

1. That Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu being the Deputy Governor of Edo State on the 26th of July 2023 filed a suit at the Federal High Court, Abuja Division in Suit No FHC/ABJ/CS/ 1027/2023 between Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu v. The Inspector General of Police & 4 Ors; against the three (3) arms of Government in Edo State vis Executive as 3rd Defendant, Legislature as 4th Defendant and Judiciary as 5th Defendant. In the said suit, the Plaintiff being the Deputy Governor of Edo State contrary to his oath of office to keep official secret in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Official Secret Law, 2013 did attach to the said suit Exhibits CPS A1, A2 and A3 documents including extracts of top Government secrets garnered in the performance of the functions of his office knowing same to be unlawful and is thereby guilty of gross misconduct.

2. That you Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu being the Deputy Governor of Edo State swore to an affidavit on the 26th day of July 2023 alleging that you were prevented from attending the State Executive meeting of 3rd of May and of July 2023 respectively knowing same to be false but with intent to bringing the Edo State Government to public odium and opprobrium; an act bordering on perjury and is thereby guilty of gross misconduct.

Philip Shaibu didn't just bite the fingers that fed him. He cut it off and threw it to the dogs. For a guy who owes his entire political career to Oshiomole, to betray that same Oshiomole, allowed himself to be used as a tool to bring down Oshiomole and willfully join hands in fighting Oshiomole. E no get insult wey this Omobe no throw for Oshiomole between 2020 and 2022. I understand loyalty to your boss but that doesn't mean you should fight your benefactor and a man you call father. If you cannot help in settling them, you shouldn't join in fighting him. He sold his own kinsman and now, e no get home base to go back to. Na God catch am. Obaseki should go further and demolish his properties. When you roll with a wild beast, be prepared to one day be eaten by the same beast

Philip Shaibu cannot become governor. He is fighting a lost battle. He is a goner. The next governor is Asue Igbodalo (AI). Shaibu should throw his weight behind Igbodalo before he becomes a pariah in his party.

They should also add that

1. He used Edo state revenue while he was in charge of revenue to buy up almost all filling stations along Airport and Sapele roads.

2. That he stole Jareth Tenebe's wrist watch as alleged by Jareth himself.

3. That he collected 6 million from DVD before he released his tanker of fuel pounded by Shaibu.

4. Failure to account for money handed over to him to organize National Sports Festival

Philip will be removed as Deputy Governor and the EFCC will pick him up as Obaseki has his dossier ready - he is too desperate - Odubu as Deputy Governor did not fight Oshiomole because he understood the enormous powers of a governor

I used to like this shaibu of a guy,during the days of Good morning on ITV with Sunny Dude Okosun. He was making sense then,even when he left osho and followed Obaseki..

Watery charges unworthy of impeachment

1. Lieing under oath (perjury) is not a watery allegation. Maybe it is in Nigeria.

2. Also, divulgence of classified information is also a punishable offence.

They were very careful to list these two allegations because the know how weighty it is in the eyes of the law.

On the issue of breaking of his oat of secrecy, Shaibu should have allowed the court proceedings to begin first then tender those documents as exibits but he didn't do so. He rather went ahead to publish the documents by attaching them to his originating summon.
