Hi guys i got tired of eating rice every sunday and decided to make this nsuka local native delicacy, note am not from nsuka but i learnt how to cook it from my nsuka babe, the delicacy is called Ashisha if i got the spellings correct. Its very delicious

It tastes exactly like achicha or echicha(that's how my people pronounce it) . It tastes really nice if its well prepared

Is that the flour from cocoyam combined with beans ??

This looks sumptuous!! reminds me of those years at UNN! There is this meal they call ayaraya, very tasty and nutritious.

lol nobe that normal beans wey u know o, this one na confirm traditional nsuka native food be this, honestly i don't even know wat that particular type of bean is called in english but i think it's called Akidi in igbo language

I know of Akidi which isn't necessarily native to Nsuka. So, any plan to put us through how you prepared the dish itself?

This is one of my village delicacies. It's usually eaten during famine, what we call okochi. Chai! I love this meal eh?

I ate it last in the 90s when we traveled to the villa and grandma packed a lot for us to bring back to Lagos. Since then I've been looking for it in Lagos.

Please, can you drop the recipe for this juicy Achicha. Looks so inviting. Biko.

Not achicha, it is ęchaa by the natives! It is prepared without meat o, this one has a touch of Yoruba with the kpomo.

Achicha is an Enugu delicacy and not limited to only Nsukka.
