Ironically if the guy got caught by task force he would have coughed out up to 30k.that would have been used as shayo

This is a win for every one, except the task force wankers

THE MEGA CITY !

Technology is taking over human capacity and some people are still searching for job , ok o!

There will be a time in this LAGOS where LASTMA and other task force officials will be highly reduced or no longer needed .

Good one !

Lagos is Working !

God bless Nigeria !

Wow, we are getting there. Digital. So, they tracked him ba. grin Next time he will think twice before beating traffic to a party. The next is to ensure the 20k being paid is not diverted to personal purse. Once the controls are in place like this we are assured of getting better. No need for police chasing traffic offenders all over the place and possibly constituting a menace or causing accidents.
The money is going straight to Alfa beta account

I tried to renew my papers in May this year
After paying, I was told they wont be released to me as I had a N20k penalty on my car for driving with expired Car insurance. I had forgotten i did 6months and not one year insurance cover.
I had to pay o and its all online, you dont pay anyone. They wont collect.

Relax, this is on one road. In time it could be everywhere, getting data on motorists would be a piece of cake then. Or you want them to use one road to determine all the motorists in Lagos?

The fine is low cuz he must be a first time offender, when next he beat the traffic lights, he will be fined heavily.

You cannot fool all the people the same time.
To think people like you are the ones against linking NIN with SIM shows that social media noise is same as market people's noise.

Does the car not have a number? Were his details not collected when he registered the number?

Obviously, you have no idea about how data works.
Please respect yourself and shut up.

After you have been caught once, will you do it again? That's why I said win win. Now the man has also learnt traffic etiquette.

Better than have one smelly LG urchin trying to force hand into your window to remove your key

On this, by better collaboration between State and Federal Governments you will see that the data is not available only if the car is unregistered, stolen or documents are incomplete. Lagos is using all available resources and filling in the gaps where required to accelerate digitalisation and if other state governments also choose to do so you will be amazed at what can be achieved. Good Governance is not magic, you just need the WILL and VISION.

The camera got the regidtration number of the car. It happened to my nephew, when he took his mum's car to a party. The mother got the ticket via text in Abuja, while the crime was committed in Lagos

Stop mixing things up. The light is for VIO and the money is going to Federal govt pause not Lagos state govt and is not because of traffic light your uncle is booked. But one of the vehicle particulars associated with his plate number has expired. If all the three don expired nah 60k he for pay. The day I know that VIO use such light I was surprised as well

There’s something called number plate reader, you usually don’t take notice of it around traffic stops, it takes a photo capturing your license plate and automatically the data of owner can be read and fined according to offense the camera captured.

When you buy ur car and request license plate, there is space for your address and phone number in the form.

I pray for you to afford your own car someday so the process isn't strange to you anymore. Amen!
