Nice one, OP! I loved this and another one from them called "taper dos".

A little correction, he said "morning, afternoon and evening, it's me singing on the radio" (not TV).

Cool song...I remember vividly how we were dancing to this song back in the early 2000's,,,Magic system,,awilo logomba and the rest..we careless about the lyrics though or what it means,,na the beat and rhyme they enter body wotowoto.... grin

Magic Systems were the bomb back then.

Ahahahah.... To think I have been listening to this song for ages and never understood the meaning of a single word from ithuh

Well it was only the beat and sweet sound that made Nigerians loved it then just like the likes of Awilo, Koffi and the rest.

Wow...
Nostalgia.
This song birthed so many other things, including many Gospel songs adaptation with the beats also.

Worthy of note.
The word 'lepa' used for slim person(lady/girl) came from this song.

Chaiiii

Nostalgic...

Thank you for this music op

Na this music I take console myself those day on my walk through the desert in search of a better life in Europe.

It's painful to live with the hard truth that issues that forced us into making such a daring and traumatic move are still here with us today in Nigeria and have even gotten worse.

Pathetic indeed...

We've been fooled one too many times by the same set of goats we call leaders and I have decided to stop being a fool by holding forte and defending any of the same miscreants.

I wish Nigerians will listen to this music and stop insulting themselves over the same people who have rendered them all fools much more than twice.

Wrong

The word "lepa" is a yoruba word/slang meaning "stick together" to be like one . It's used to describe slim girls cos they are so flat n thin like "1"

I am too sure you are the one who is wrong.

If you indeed know the language you mentioned, you would know that 'lepa' is a modern day word/slogan, not an old indigenous word. About mid 90s, this word wasn't even known or used, not even for slim person. Go figure.
Opposite of 'lepa' is 'Orobo', do you also know the song/singer who also brought about orobo mainstream usage and adoption to describe someone on the fatty side?
It's true that new words are being coined and added on the daily to lingo and local dialect, but also note that some have been around longer to know the origin and difference in the adapted and original root word.

More reason why you're wrong

Gauo was released in late 99/2000
The movie below was done in the 90s
