I would say the main Ethic is spiritual renewal and rejuvenation. That’s precisely why He came down….to awaken humanity spiritually so that they may change course from the path leading to eternal damnation to one that will ultimately lead to Heaven.
The selflessness you talked about may be described as just a ‘by-product’ which may not necessarily prevent you from ascending to higher realms provided you live according to the Will of the Creator while on Earth!
Consider, Is selflessness one of the Ten Commandments of God? I think not!
Now, if someone is stricken by a terminal disease and he has to choose a competent Doctor to operate on him, should he choose one who claims to be able to heal people based on merely watching another “incompetent” Doctor for seven years….or should he choose one with hands-on experience in excess of 25 years with long list of achievements to prove his capability?
