Spherica177:The North always support their own when they are up against the South. As Tinubu begged Shekarau, he no hear and ended up with PDP. Are you not seeing what is happening in the North Even Katsina is already burning all their broom.Northerners knows Tinubu is very greedy. North East and South East have not thirsted President but West have done 16years presidency. They've seen the greed and have decided to support their own. By the way, Voting for Tinubu is as good as telling your 85years old intelligent king to be the president. ' I get am before nor be property'. Tinubu has nothing to offer anymore, his physical and mental health has deteriorated due to old age. He should retire now or sane Nigerians will do the needful. The Tinubu of then will never: 1) call APC Action Congress 2) promise to feed 50 million youths with agbado and cassava after sending them to Maiduguri 3) Say PVC has expired 4) can't turn a paper during the APC convention |

Difrent:Show us the UK's lecturers undertaking with their government not to collect salaries during strike, then we will believe you. Anybody can formulate any lies on social media. And anyway the beneficial employment situations in UK, and avenues for social welfare existing in Europe are missing in Nigeria. So your comparison is way off the track. |

CONTRAR to what the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has made the public to believe concerning the lingering ASUU strike, FG has not met the demands of ASUU. What they did was to offer promissory notes to ASUU, same promises that they keep giving each time ASUU embarks on strike. These are the promises: 1. Promise to release revitalisation fund of 170b and to be included in 2023 budget 2. Promise of Earned allowance of 50b For all the university based unions and to be included in 2023 budget 3. Promise of 30k salary increment for lecturers and 60k for professors and to be included in 2023 budget still. ASUU sees this particular offer as miserable and insulting. What happens to the draft of renegotiated agreement submitted to FG two months ago. 4. UTAS performed well in the test and MAY be deployed. Nothing was said about the draft of the just concluded renegotiation between the Brigg's committee and ASUU. To those who may want to know, these are same promises FG has been making year after year without fulfilling any and there are no indications that they have changed. So ASUU rejected this offer. However, FG came to the public to paint a picture that looks as if ASUU has accepted all their offers but insisted on payment of arrears of salary before calling off the strike. This a lie. FG promissory offer was not accepted by ASUU, it's not just about arrears of salaries that has flooded the social media. If I may comment on the withheld salaries, there is nothing to worry about. If the govt is not willing to pay the backlog of salaries, then the backlog of work will be skipped and the school calendar continues at the normal pace. That means lecturers will not resume from where they stopped before the strike. All pending lectures, exams and marking of scripts, practicals, projects, etc that were supposed to take place during the strike period will be forgotten. Lecturers will skip whatever was left and resume a fresh session. The issue |

membranus:Google is your friend. Don't doubt a topic you haven't researched.....they voluntarily elected not to get paid while on strike That's no justification for ASUU wanting to get paid for work not done......seems you are not aware no worl no pay is LEGAL. |

Difrent:No 'worl' no pay not tenable in Nigeria. I have been involved in several strikes in corporate establishments, even going on to several months, and at the end of the strikes we collected our pays during and after the strikes in full. |

You see that your condition needs medical and psychiatric help ASAP?. I will quote your statements side by side for you to know you have no credibility and change your position because you are a liar & a very psychologically unstable human being. From NO protest at all, now you say civil society protested??! 1st Statement ‘ There were no protests during Abacha's time.’ 2nd Statement: ‘ There were civil rights campaigners and advocacy groups and absolutely no student protests.’ rusher14: |
| Re: ASUU Declares Indefinite Strike, Plans Increased Media Engagement by rusher14: 7:49pm On Aug 30, 2022 |
Tzar:You claimed students protested and that's what I debunked. There were no student protests. As soon as June 12 was annulled there was a spontaneous uprising (when Aikhomu's house was torched) which was summarily quelled. For the 5 years after, Nigerian students went about their studies. In fact, in 1998, many students in the South were putting on Abacha badges. Tell the truth as it is. |

Tzar:I'm saying categorically, that you did not protest. Even the reports you produced showed the protests were after Abacha's death. You are no hero. Stop pretending to be. |

Child! That is not what you said originally. Stop lying like a kindergarten brat. Lazy Nigerian Youth! Did you even read the links before you said the protests were ‘ AFTER ABACHA’s DEATH?’ You lied again! I will quote exerpts from the links. The truth is that SOME of the articles I posted were for protest after Abacha’s death not all. I also asked that an online search should be done. What happened during that time was that Nigerian PRESS was silenced during the Junta. If you were old enough to know what happened then. Go and read your post again Mr. Unstable. And take your medications religiously! From timeshighereducation Nigerian students opposed to the military regime of General Sani Abacha have vowed to continue their protests until power is handed to a democratically elected civilian From Irish Post Nigerian police yesterday arrested 20 protesters against the military ruler, Gen Sani Abacha, in Lagos while in the capital, Abuja, hundreds of thousands rallied to support him. Witnesses said police fired teargas and arrested 20 of the few dozen marchers, including Mr Olisa Agbakoba, whose United Action for Democracy (UAD) had called the Lagos march to counteract the huge rally in the Abuja to press Gen Abacha to transform himself into a civilian president. rusher14: |

Tzar:Same post. After strikes that paralysed Nigeria in 1994, opposition to military rule has diminished with the arrest or flight into exile of many leaders and a growing sense of apathy in the face of severe economic hardship. |

Tzar:I insist you are a wannabe. You started out by trying to make today's students far different from those of the 90s and I proved you wrong. There were no protests by universities under Abacha's rule. Trying to pass yourself off as some kind of student activist is dishonest. You.never protested. Moore likely, you went about wearing an Abacha badge . |

You need help ASAP! Proved what or who wrong? I sent links and quoted your lies verbatim yet you make bogus claims without proof. Is that how you justify your arguments? I assume you are a youth. If you guys like, don’t protest the current or future government misrule. Hopefully, your inactions will not affect you and future generations negatively. My generation failed in a lot of ways with the way we permitted the evil older generation. I can only hope that the younger generation do not also fail to act adequately. Anyway, I honestly cannot help you any further. Good luck to you. rusher14: |

Tzar:You are a liar. Many people claim to be what they aren't online and you are an epitome of such people. You can lie to the kids on this forum but many of us know, universities did not engage Abacha with any form of protest against his government during his tenure. It is even well known that a lot of students started to wear his badge, requesting for his transmutation to a civilian president. You were not involved in protests when you were a student because there were none. Zilch. Zero. |
