i don't like locs. it looks boring to me, and i don't like the appearance neither.

just so you know, it can rot if you apply too much water and lotions on it.

I've considered locking my hair aswell but I'm scared I'll also get bored.

But you can braid on top of them.

And you can comb them out with conditioner so they aren't permanent.

We have temporary and permanent locks.so be sure which you are going for

Locks are very beautiful. If carrying a wig (which actually is either someone else's hair, or hair made synthetically in a factory) is not heavy, why should your natural hair be uncomfortable?

Besides, locks can be styled in very different beautiful ways

One basic thing you need to know is that you might need to cut off the locks when you are tired of them because your hair will never be the same again

Don’t give ur hair to different hands to handle, have someone u can trust to handle.

Mine is almost 7 years now.

Be ready to face shit talks, what matters is ur confidence - deaf ur ears ��

True! I saw a woman that loosened her locks when I went to braid my hair 2 days ago. The hair is not the same. Lost a lot of volume. She didn’t seem happy to me. I am sure she would definitely cut that hair and start afresh. cheesy

I locked my hair.
There is a difference between LOCKS and DREADS!✅
What I learned?

1. Patience. Took 6 months to fully get locked.
2. Commitment. Stay on your”lock lane”. Don’t compare your lock to others’.
3. Go to re-lock every month.
4. YouTube is your friend to learn how to keep your locks clean and stylish.
5. You can’t unlock without going bald. You will have to chop them off.

And it takes time to lock... At least 6 months cos u gatz to be going to de salon every 2 weeks to relock cos it gets rough easily(dats if u are on natural hair).

Who says lock is boring

I've locked mine since 2018 and I keep loving it everyday. Though it can be expensive to manage, but with the right stylist, you can never be wrong.
With time andlots of videos then my dread is long now, I can park any ATTACHMENTS/ BRAIDS style effortlessly.
I tinted the mouth though, and I lock once a month.
It's the best decision I've ever taken in my life. I love my dread, my boo love it, my daughter likes to play with it( infact she begs to touch it most times)
So, dread is cool IF YOU MAINT IT.
And yes, I work in a cooperate organization.
