Most Nigerian parents will always find it difficult to apologize even when they realized that the child was wrongly beaten.

never heard those people say sorry. Most especially my dad. But if my mum notices she was wrong, she go dey overly nice, give me money for little tasks

My mum wouldn’t say sorry directly… for instance if she made me angry and she prepares food and I didn’t want to eat, she’d be like ‘maje maje maje o gbudo ma je ounje yen’ (eat that food x3, you must make sure you eat that food’ with a stern look and a bit sorry look.

You too no dey do wetin go make person beat you again. Sha go and carry the food that's in kitchen.
