The car in this video suffered brake failure on account of too much water content in the brake fluid, resulting in what's called vapour lock.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time & it's recommended to change your brake fluid every 2 - 3 years. Depends on manufacturer.

When last did you change yours? Your life may depend on it.

Brake fluid in this car had never been changed in the 10years of ownership!

I change mine every year or almost 2 years when ever I do severe brake jobs just to be on the safe side

I refresh my pads every 2 years and I haven’t brought my thoughts to changing the oil at the same time too.

Finally I’ve checked my habits of recent and realize I seriously need to change my brake oil asap

When I first poured it in it was bluish but now it’s looking clear It must have ‘belle-full’ from all the moisture it has been absorbing for close to 6 years

My own na anytime I notice slight brake fade or discoloration I Dey change am. I even get 2 cans of DOT4 heavy duty brake fluid inside any car I own.

The single can I bought and threw into my boot has been there since 4 years now na for topping up and to ‘loosen’ stubborn bolts I dey use am do since.

My own brakes function as they are supposed to even after using the same oil for so long but i will still change the fluid to see if I can notice any improvements or changes.
