you are nothing but pained

there is no single truth in all the garbage you typed..
this administration issued more licenses than the 16 years of PDP combined.. go to DPR site and verify
yet many of them have not done anything tangible with it..

2 refineries are under complete overhaul
I don't know anything about PDP or APC but all I know is governments failures over time. Even if I am paid to defend the present administration I will collect the money but still say the truth. You seem to be happy with the present suffering experienced by the Nigerian citizens. Pray this hard times do not hit you, your perception would change. The more anyone attempt to defend this government the more it makes one sounds wicked, barbaric and stupid. Total revamp of any Refinery cannot take more than 6 months to 2years. Why spent trillions to pay for subsidy when you can use a 1/4 of a trillion to do revamp. No matter how much you try you cannot turn black to white in this context.

Enough said with no intention to rubbish the government or anyone. I'm aware of some of the achievements of this govt too but that doesn't mean when the truth is said, some people would take it personal, no! I didn't say no licences were issued. Go and ask the few you mentioned how they fought with their teeth, among many who had applied. The truth which many of you don't realise is, there's a lot of vested inretest in the subsidy regime. These people would never allow anything work. That's what's also killing the major refineries we had. Sadly, it's beyond buhari himself.

In the niger delta for instance, there were illegal refineries who were refining good quality diesel and selling to the market. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg to build a modular refinery but because of the reasons mentioned above, they'd never allow it work. I recall how much Edo fought for their modular refinery which is expected to commence operation before end of this year. It's not just at an advanced stage as you said. It's actually been completed. This isn't about politics but the hard fact. The Buhari's administration could have performed below expectations but in some areas, especially infrastructure, they tried.

I'd not do any copy and past here. You can Google these facts yourself and read at your convenience.
read my previous mentions I do not comment based on emotions or hatred but on fact

please.. petroleum product from illegal refineries ARE NOT GOOD QUALITY... I don't know why on earth you will think such..

you think the process starts and end at boiling the crude to specific temperatures for specific products...
NO SIR!
there are levels of purification that has to be done..even the crude oil has to be purified to get rid of unwanted elements like sulphur..

a whole lots happens to the end product after fractional distillations.. the level of purifications determines the grades... Dangote refinery for example will produce Euro V quality..that is the highest quality by international standards..

you can never compare that to what our dead refineries used to produce or the ones we import from cheap rusty refineries abroad.. why do you think NNPC rejected low quality fuel some months ago which lead to scarcity or are you not in Nigeria when people went on twitter to complain about what they bought a that time.. huh huh

if port harcourt refinery starts producing today and they export to europe..europe will reject the it sharp sharp...you think fuel is something you just heat crude and viola you have fuel? huh huh

I don't know why you display such infuriating gross ignorance...
so you mean you can confidently use those locally refined fuel for your car? huh huh
maybe you don't own a car.

you saying it doesnt cost an arm and leg to build a modular refinery is just a joke.. go and ask Jimoh Ibrahim and his own refinery project.. you think say na beans... you think modular refineries are any different from standard refineries?..what makes them modular is that their components can be shipped in modular forms and assembled easily..
back to the licenses.

If you truly read my post, you'd realise i mentioned only Diesel. Diesel is just one of the products drivable as petroleum product from the crude. During our project days in the riverine areas, where diesel source of supply was very far away. We were always using this diesel refined from those illegal refineries they supplied even cheaper. It's only diesel they could refine. We used to also bring diesel from the main town, loaded inside Jerry cans. This is hard to believe but the quality isn't any different. This I know, believe it or not. We spent 2 months on that project.

That said, compared to the major refineries which could gulp billions of dollars in construction, an individual can construct a modular refinery and that's why I said it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Even our celebs can raise the money. With $5m today, my modular refinery will be up and running in less than one year, depending on capacity. As an investor, it's achievable cos i can raise a substantial part of it while my partners would raise the rest or I approach my bank. Go and check how much it cost edo modular refinery to build. Jimoh ibrahim could be sweating profusely on his own project cos he's deeply enmeshed in debts. He might not be able to complete it on time.

I don't agree with you that, should the port Harcourt refinery become operational today, they'd reject its products in Europe, please stop this, it's a white lie. Regardless of the parameter used by you to measure the quality, it's far from the truth. In age, the refinery is not so old, there are older refineries across the globe today still refining and selling to us. If its quality of products, we've never had issues with that or at what time was it reported that the products refined at any of the local refineries were adulterated or destroyed automobile engines? Guy, small small abeg. If our local refineries could be revamped today, the refined quality is as good as what's obtainable elsewhere in the world. The last time I checked, only imported petroleum products were said to have been adulterated. I can't forget what it did to my car engine in 2007

Obaseki is trying to make it a better place but he is meeting a lot of opposition and it seems as if the people don’t like progress that’s why Benin city looks like something that was forgotten in the 18th century.

Obaseki is not really making any sincere efforts. His problem is that he simply doesn't know how to work with people. He is at war with everybody. He fought his former party and initially people believed his former party was the problem. Now he has been fighting his new party and already on his way to a third one. When a particular person continues to have problem with everybody then it simply means that person is actually the bad one. There is no single person or group Obaseki has been able to maintain a positive relationship with for long. So how can such person be said to be meeting opposition when he is the one opposing himself? Did I hear you say people hate progress in Edo State? So only Obaseki loves progress out of the over 5 million people in Edo State? What kind of progress is that one? Before Obaseki was imposed on Edo State by Oshiomhole, there was a lot of visible progress being made by that very Oshiomhole which an overwhelming majority testified to. How come Oshiomhole was not opposed?
