Did u read my earlier comment. The problem isn't cattle population but lack of enough pasture and water in the north for open grazing practised by Fulani herdsmen for whatever number of cattle due to climate change.
It's a big problem for regions in the sahel belt due to encroaching desert. They keep moving south towards the rain forest region. That's why cattle rustling is a big problem at the niger-nigerian border.
