Not many defense can stand a fierce attack. A good defense would only reduce the number of goals. Not in all cases. You can concede and still win the game.

The probability of winning without conceding is much higher than conceding

Probability of winning maybe high without conceding but you don’t win games if you don’t score either. So having a good defense does not guarantee victory if you attack can’t produce goals.

The best teams in the world builds up attack from the midfield and also builds up defense from the midfield ...when the midfield is strong the goalkeeper and attack would have no problems

Not in all cases…..Guardiola Knew his problem that was why he opted to sign Kane after Chelsea defeated City to win UCL in 2021.

It became highly imperative to sign a striker of Haaland’s caliber after they were knocked out by Madrid….. if they had Haaland last season, you and I know how that game would have ended considering the chances City created home and away.
